Just had 2 nights here & would come back. The location is the best in Taxco, right on the zocalo. The room was good - had everything I needed for my 2 night stay. The onsite restaurant was very good as was have the coffee shop next door! The only improvement I would recommend is if the wifi were available... More

The zocalo in front of the beautiful Santa Prisca Cathedral is by far the social centre of Taxco, and the Agua Escondida is located in the northwest corner of the square, placing you right at the heart of everything. The rooms are not huge, but are comfortable and clean, and most with lovely views down the hills and across the... More

Agua Escondida isn't fancy or luxurious, but it's clean, very affordable, and has the best location in Taxco. The building itself is gorgeous, with various terraces overlooking the red roofs and white walls of the city. The pool was closed for renovation during our stay, but looked like it would have been very nice. The hotel has a full service... More

This hotel is right in the heart of the city and is quite reasonable, It is comfortable but not fancy. If you just want to loaf in the city for a few days and do a little shopping and eat at some great restaurants, the location can' be beat: More

I generally prefer to stay in B&Bs but this hotel proved to be A1 for a stay with a family of young children in Taxco. Yes, it was noisy - so is most of Taxco! The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff could not have been more helpful and patient with our requests. We particularly enjoyed evenings on the terrace... More

Beautiful residence. Rooms are very small but clean and well decorated. A bit spooky walking around at night as there are alot of dead ends with no lights and it is a very old building. A little overpiced. Staff were lovely but we had a language barrier as they couldn't speak English and we can't speak Spanish. Right on the... More

We stayed in Taxco for three nights in January and decided to stay here. Agua Escondida is located right on Taxco's main square. You have several shops and restaurants right next to you. For most of the best restaurants and shops you may want to travel slightly off the square, but it is still a good central location to get... More

The hotel staff at this hotel were extremely courteous and pleasant. They got us checked in right away, carried our bags from the street directly into our rooms, and gave us directions, a semi-waterproof street maps with all tourist attractions, and recommendations for places to see in the city. Internet access on premises, really quaint, reasonably priced restaurant on the... More

The Agua Escondida hotel has a great location. There is a swimming pool and a beautiful terrace on the roof, where you also have a great view on the zocalo. We had a large room with two double beds. The room was on the average, but comfortable enough. Since we decided to stay for a few days, we asked for... More
