This hotel has a beautiful garden and is just a few blocks from the center of Taxco. Nice refuge from the hustle and bustle. Beautiful rooftop breakfast area right next door. They have rooms available for up to four people, as well as connected suites good for families. The value is excellent for the quality of rooms. Very clean and... More

We stayed here in Taxco for a night in September. The hotel had nice, clean rooms, though the pillows were a little flat. I'd reccomend bringing your own. I did swim in the pool, though I don't know if it is filtered. It is very hot in Taxco, so I didn't care how clean the pool was. There were a... More

I arrived with my wife and three children late at night and were put in a dreadful room with no window and crummy bathroom. The next day I went into Taxco for an appointment and my wife stayed by the pool with the children. When I returned I realised some things were not where I left them but assumed it... More

The hotel is very beautiful and so peacefull! We tried really hard to find it by ourselves but we couldn't - so take a taxi! Rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast is served on rooftop terrace. Taxco was definetly one of the highlights of our Mexico trip. More

Stayed in this property for a couple of nights while visiting Taxco. The hotel is distributed in some buildings ranging from double to quadruple rooms to some apartments. Most of them face an enjoyable garden with a decent swimming pool. The room is simple but comfortable and some have a balcony facing the city. Internet is free of charge. Reception... More

An almost identical tale as the previous visitor re having a confirmed room reservation bumped on arrival at the hotel. Arrived at about 4pm to be met by a rather col member of staff who said that (1) our booking had never been made, (2) that it was not for the number of people in our group, (3) that it... More

We stayed at the Posada San Javier one night on july 16, and occupied two rooms. Clean, spacious, with a glass door that allows light in the hallway to keep you from sleeping : OK for people afraid from darkness at night ! The garden is very nice and the view from the terrace above the hotel just wonderfull .... More

A beautiful, well-maintained, reasonably-priced hotel, located very close to the Zocalo. We stayed here one night in December 2007, after spending the previous night in the underwhelming Hotel Los Arcos - and the difference between the two was night-and-day. Hotel Posada San Javier is clean and modern (but with an appropriately charming colonial style), and the rooms are large and... More

My husband and I stayed here October 27th thru the 31st of this year and had a lovely time! The hotel - (Magdalena) chose for us the San Javier suite which was located at the very top of the hotel itself! The view was panoramic and the seclusion was perfect in every way. The grounds are impeccable thanks to Jose... More
