We spent 590 each night to stay here. Cancun was the last stop on our 6 week budget backpacking trip, and this hotel was luxury in comparison to other places we stayed. The water was hot, the pool was clean and refreshing, the tv had many channels, the air conditioning worked and we had a fridge. It was close to a... More

This was the first stop in our 4month trip. We had made the reservation a few months in advance and had to wait almost and hour in the reception because they couldn't find the reservation. The owner wanted us to pay the room again and after a 30 flight and bus ride I was really close to actually paying it.... More

Now that I have stayed in two different budget places in Cancun, I can heatily recommend staying in town at one of the local business hotels over this place. The positives: the staff were friendly, free wifi (if you were outside, as the signal was not strong enough to reach the rooms), about a 1-km walk to the beach. The... More

This is probably the cheapest option if you want to stay close to the beautiful Cancun beaches. It is also attracting a different clientelle - mostly Spanish-speaking youth and families, backpackers, and occasional international guests. I really like this place as it gives you a feel of a Mexican hotel and not an international giant. The hotel is located at... More

My boyfriend and I spent two weeks at the Grand Royal Lagoon from Jan 17-31 2012. LOCATION This is probably the biggest selling point for this hotel. The hotel itself is withing walking distance to all of the big clubs and restaurants in the Cancun Party Zone, but it's also just around the corner from a little super market and... More

I had a really hard time faulting our 5 night stay here, I really enjoyed it knowing many guests along 'hotel zone' would be paying per night what cost us for our bargainous 5 nights! Room was clean and tidy with free in room safe. Breakfast was good with choice of egg or pancakes along with tea. coffee, juice and... More

this smaller hotel is pretty close to some of the big resorts but, this is a very modest place. on this trip, i just wanted to hang out at the beach and see the ruins in chichen itza. the hotel is not a big mega resort and doesn't have it's own beach like a lot of the places down there,... More

I booked 3 rooms at this hotel months ago. We were travelling as a group, and none of us had ever been to Cancun before. We pretty much were just passing through, but we wanted a decent place to rest for a couple nights and have some time at the beach. I was a little nervous about booking a place... More
