This is a very average hotel, but it has a good location and a good price. There is a free internet computer at the lobby, and each floor has a complimentary drinking water dispenser. Most of the rooms are above a busy street (with traffic 24/7), so bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise. The staff does not... More

Clean, safe, and just a block from the bus depot in the centre of downtown Cancun--the location couldn't have been more convient. Stores, services, and buses are all within a couple of blocks. The bed was comfortable; the sheets were clean; the air conditioner worked; everything was spotless. Hot water: Who could ask for more? No one speaks English, but... More

After staying at the Alux in Playa del Carmen I booked this place for 1 night to be near the bus station. It certainly was a come down definitely grungy & the place - lobby & room - definitely didn't smell too nice. It was only for a night as we were catching the ADO bus to the airport in... More

Right next to the ADO station, which is its main plus value. Oh and the fact that there is AC. Apart of that, the place is very normal, a bit expensive (350 pesos for one double bed), and has no spirit. But that's the story of Cancun. There is Internet access but you cannot sit and the area stinks. In... More

I have stayed there for the location close to the bus station. The facilities are basic, but room was clean. The only problem I had was with the shower. No hot water. But I can not complain much, for the price I paid. Overall is a good budget place to stay, if only for one night. More

We stayed one night at Hotel Alux in February. We picked this hotel because of its close proximity to the bus station. It was a great bargain, only about $40 Canadian a night, though it is definitely a 'no frills' sort of place, it was fine for the short time we stayed there. The room was a good size, and... More

We were finishing travels through the Yucatan peninsula and just wanted someplace decent and convenient for the last two nights. That gave us one day to see Cancun which was more than enough for us. The Alux is only a block away from the main bus station which made it easy to get to the hotel and easy to get... More

For a mere 410 pesos ($20 each for a 2-double bed room), Hotel Alux was an amazing deal. We booked it because it is one block from the bus station and we had to be on a 4:30 a.m. shuttle to the airport the next morning. Our room (#408) at Hotel Alux was basic but was very clean, had a... More

Well, what can you expect for $35? I suppose the room was clean enough even though it gives you that 'dirty' feeling. The A/C was loud which I loved because it drowned out the outside noise while we slept. We had a TV and there was even a computer that offered free internet near the lobby which was nice. It... More

just as i expected from other reviewers, this was a basic, convienent place to stay by the bus station. nothing special, but it did serve our purpose. my family and i (4 adults) stayed there as a "layover" from cozumel to isla holbox. reservation was quick and easy via email. appreciated the "honor" system of them holding your reservation without...
