Every time I went to Isla, I ate breakfast at Elements of Island, which is phenomenal. The Chaya juice, fruit and granola, chaya with eggs are my favorites. When I was there last December, I finally asked to see the rooms, in the likelihood that my usual lodging should be booked. I thought they looked lovely, simply furnished in minimal... More

Some friends and I rented all three rooms at Elements of the Island for a 3 night stay in January. We LOVED it here. The B&B itself is great: sunny big rooms, central location, comfortable beds, and the cafe downstairs makes an awesome breakfast. Best of all, however, was the hospitality provided by the owners. Madjid was so incredibly friendly... More

We stayed in one of three studio apartments at Elements. We were most impressed with the hospitality of Madjid and Jean, the two owners from Paris and Montreal. On par, were the breakfasts we had each day at their cafe, located right in front. They make fresh marmalade made from local tropical fruits as well as bake their own bread.... More

We stayed 14 days on the top floor (Fire Room) at the Elements of the Island over Christmas and New Year of 2011-12. Madgid greeted us with a big hug and smile, just like we were old friends. The room was very spacious, the kitchen was just sufficient for our needs and the bathroom had a beautiful Mexican style sink.... More

we spent there a couple of days and were very happy about the great atmosphere - Madgid is a very friendly host, helped wherever help and information was needed. The apartment is like an oasis - well equipped and very comfortable. The restaurant offers delicious breakfast as most of the things are homemade and the yoga class are great! In... More

Madgid at Elements offered us a very good rate so that needs to be taken into consideration here. The position is very central and some elements are good - prompt response to emails and M was a very smiley host.  Unfortunately though taking lots of small details into account we felt that the place looked a bit sad and was... Elements of the Island offers a great location steps to North Beach, one of my favorite beaches in the world. It offers 3 studio apartments which are well maintained and equipped. The AC works well. Wifi, not so much but there are plenty of cafes on the island where it is more interesting to sit and work. Majid the manager... More

We love Elements of the Island especially for their breakfast. The coffee is amazing and so is the homemade bread and jams. I also love the yogurt and fresh fruit. We have never stayed at in their rooms or taken advantage of the yoga classes they offer. When we come back it will be one of our first stops! More

John and Monica do a great European brekky. I went back several times in the month i was staying on the island. Their homemade bread is a bit crumbly but ever so tasty. They also do a decent bircher muesli. Just take your bug cream. They've got a pretty jungly courtyard out back which means there's a few mosquitoes. More
