Had to stay in the El Espanol hotel in Merida. It was across the street from the Bus Station, right on the corner of a busy street ( traffic light outside) with traffic most of the time. My room was small, clean and on the corner of a busy intersection. However, it was high enought that the noise wasn't too bad. The front staff was very, very helpful with all my needs. I would recommend this hotel if you want easy access to the 2 bus stations which are across the street.
