Hotel is located on huge amazing grounds. So one would never find themselveds bored and with nothing to do. Villars are very good sizes, most of them have swimming pools and great sunbathing areas. I have just reviewed the Banyan Tree Mayakoba but Joan Harris had been staying at my house whilst I was there and used my computer. Unfortunately, I didn't notice she was still logged in and my review has gone under her name.

From the minute you walk in, the service, the surroundings, even the smells are heavenly. We stayed in a spa pool villa (highly recommend for couples without children), rented bikes to get ourselves around, and enjoyed absolutely every minute of every day. Just home from one glorious week at Banyan Tree Mayakoba. Our villa was impeccable in every way, spacious and clean and well appointed. Stayed here 1 week with our 3 teenage children. I thought the setting was heavenly and the food was fresh, plentiful and delicious. (We tried each restaurant at least once and loved them all). Amazing hotel, we had a room with private pool and it was just like in the pictures. Very expensive but great service. Be careful with tips, they will charge you 10% in tips at the end of your stay! The only bad thing was the food.
