We did not feel safe here. When the hotels idea of security is to top off the cement fence with broken bottles jutting out, when there are no telephones in the room, when there were people right outside our door drinking late at night (and again no phone to call the front desk), when anyone can come in from the... Three couples stayed over Easter in three rooms. One room was as advertised except the TV did not work. One room had no refrigerator, no safe, no TV (didn't care about this buy it was expected). The other room was supposed to be a suite with ocean front. It was not a suite but the room was large. However the... More

We stayed here two different times during our holiday in Mexico. First time - we stayed one week in a beach front room. Second time in a sea view room for one night. We recommened staying in a sea view because it´s a lots of sounds from nearby restaurants in the beach front room. The sea view rooms are much... More

We looked at more than 30 hotels on the net and decided for this one. We wooried when we learned a week before check-inn that our rooms selection was no possible. But we were offered a nice alternative and have had a great 4 nights stay. Rooms 303-305 are quit with good seaview and 201 and 218 perfect seafront views... More

It's small, quaint and quiet. It's easy, just a few blocks from the bus station and right off the down town 5th avenue area. If you're not looking for big fancy places and want convenience and ease. This is it. Inexpensive too. One draw back is the constant "bump, bump, bump", from the local club/s nightlife. That can drive you... More

I loved this place 15 years ago when I stayed here, which is why I made reservations to stay there again on a recent trip. I reserved their best room, an ocean front room, at a discounted price on Expedia and noted in the reservation that I would be a late arrival. Unfortunately, the night clerk had no record of... More

direct at nice beach, rooms are ok and clean, no high-end hotel but everything needed was available: safe, small fridge, A/C, TV (for those who need it), during the night you can hear a little bit the entertainment in the neighborhood, nice view to Isla Cozumel if you book OCEAN VIEW. 1 min-walk to pedestrian zone where you find many... This was my third time staying at the Pelicano Inn. It is very well-priced, right on the beach, in the middle of downtown Playa Del Carmen. The location is ideal! Steps to everything you could possibly want.....shopping, restaurants, bars, clubs, and the beach and beautiful ocean of course! I always get an oceanfront room that has a gorgeous view of... More

The Pelicano Inn is in a great location and the rooms are well priced for being on the beach. They are not luxurious, but they have a bed, a bathroom with hot water and a small refridgerator. The staff, especially Luis, were always friendly and helpful. We had to change rooms a few times and he helped us with our... More
