the place was great and i loved the ambiance.... very good for festivals or casual holidays. Cheers. Playa del Carmen is also a prime location for vacations. Music festivals are one of the key attributes of this place beginning January and end of december.

We were SO disappointed about this hostel... The beds were confortable, but they didn't change the sheets... so mine were very dirty. The showers and toilets were more than disgusting. The location was perfect. About 3 blocks from the beach, around the corner from the bus stop, 2 blocks from 5th ave, steps away from a "modern" shopping plaza (with Starbucks), and 2 blocks away for a more "local" feel. Hey, for $13USD, I haven't found anything nicer. Clean, quiet, respectful. The "chill" environment created by the strategic lighting, helps you have a relaxed attitude. Fernando and the other staff at the front desk are super friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are nicely done. Good job!

They do have aircon in the rooms that they say is programmed so it can only be turned on after 9pm (what?) so we did and in at 6.30am some guy working there just barged in and took the remote for the aircon and turns it off..
