We stayed 2 nights at the villa Matisse And it was great Time. So warm welcome from Lourdes, the owner. Its in Tulum pueblo so only 5min, $3 for the playa and so close to buses, restaurant, bank. We had a great stay here, we tried the Weary Traveller, and El Cruzero first (recommended by LP) who both offered us a s**ty room. Finally we went to the supposedly more expensive Hotel Villa Matisse, but or the same amount of money we stayed in this little gem!! Please go here straight away!!

after staying in one of Tulum beach's "hotels", we quickly escaped! We arrived at Villa Matisse and it was such a relief! Nice staff, lovely rooms, clean! Nice outdoor kitchen, bikes are available to cycle to the ruins! Good location in town, next to many restaurants...and in front of a laundry!!(practical!)
