This is an old establishment with an interesting history. Long before San Miguel became known internationally and transportation was difficult, Dr. Agundis built a place so he could invite other physicians to meet and discuss medical issues. The Quinta grew and became a favorite among American and Canadian tourists. Although there are now scads of lodgings and restaurants closer to... More

There might be better hotels. But at the rates and with the location, I like this place best. The garden is tranquil and pretty. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is great. I have stayed there off and on for 25 years. It hasn't changed much. It's always a pleasant experience. Try it, you'll like it! More

my friend has stayed here 10 times and recommended it for reasonable price and location. However, we had a string of unpleasant things happen when we checked in so we ended up looking for another place. 1 - we came especially for the pool because of my young daughter, the pool was green, couldn't see bottom, with all kinds of... This hotel was GREAT! Our room was huge, had a small patio, a television, and if you let the shower run a little bit it will get hot, be patient. It's about 10 easy walking minutes to the historic center (plaza)/Parrochia, and there's complimentary parking. We walked back from the center at night and felt perfectly safe. While we visited... The hospitality was very good, I made nice friends who came every year, for many yrs. Bed. water pressure &, toilet fine. Location great. Downside...... The room did have some sort of smell, heater scary because of age, TV ancient, dark, depressing. I will go again because of friends and location. Maybe we should all insist on improvements. Bottom line,... More

The Good: Very pretty grounds, within a 10 minute walk to the downtown plaza, right next to a craft plaza, very clean rooms, bottled water provided in the rooms, fairly large rooms. (we were able to set up the baby's bed and still have lots of room to walk around. yummy resturant on the gounds open for breakfast and lunch... More

I stayed at the Quinta Loreto. It was good enough. It was a colonial style hotel. The rooms were decent and comfortable and spacy/roomy. The one and only objection I have are the dogs which are roaming around the hotel. I think it isn't really right and/or professional. I spoke to the receptionist about it and she said that the... All the important things are in place: clean, room was large and had most of the comforts you would expect, personnel friendly (and spoke English), free car parking, quiet (by comparison). It is adjacent to a covered market (mostly for turists, partly for locals) and the town centre is in walking distance (10mins). A few negatives: the hotel is not... More

I decided to have my wedding at Quinta Loreto and it turned out wonderful!!! People from all over the US came, the rooms are modest but who hangs out in their rooms when there is so much to do in San Miguel. The location of the hotel is wonderful! I did not have to worry about relatives being bored since... More

The grounds are very nice but the rooms are not the best. The Toilets do not flush properly when they do. The shower was very low water pressure. The soap was the size and as thin as a quarter. Towels very old and thin. Sheets are old and gray. There is no AC. I am sure there are much better... More
