Picture a perfect crescent of golden sand surrounded by craggy rock promontories and an endless sea completing the circle of your world. Tiny sparkles of sun against sea promise a calm swim across the cove with clear waters enveloping you in the perfect body-temperature. A breeze as calm but persistent as the waves, strokes the shore, keeping the cove nearly... More

This is a very special place, the highlight of our three weeks travelling in Mexico. We rather chanced upon it having decided to check it out down 3k of unmade road. Once we arrived we knew this was where we wanted to stay awhile. The beautiful moon-shaped coral sands with coconut palms wafting in the sea breeze and the wonderful... More

We endorse everything Anders says and you'll see how the five-star reviews are stacking up. Paradise is an over-used word for palm-fringed beaches but Bahia de la Luna comes as close as we've ever found. We shared a couple of hillside cabanas with our sons and would recommend them, for getting a bit of welcome breeze in the heat (though... More

This is paradise and we are coming back. The Staff is attentive and pleasant, the food was great for dinner and we had two choices for appetizer and main course. Love that!! Fresh fish or Fresh fish... Hmm Fresh fish.. The amopshere, the people, the cat, the drinks, the food, and the lovely owners.. We were happy that boats came... More

Imagine being at a lovely secluded bay, close to nature but sheltered in a simple yet charming bungalow right at the beach. Imagine having nothing to do but wade each day into the clear blue-green water on a pristine beach---or lounge on a gently swinging outdoor bed with a pillow to prop yourself on for leisurely reading and gazing out... great place. our room was perfect, at the beach, everything clean and organized, new mosquito's nets, a shower outside, just perfect. staff are absolutely friendly. we had a great time, everyday snorkeling, reading, sleeping at the beach. boats stops by with tourists, but just for a short period and the rest of the day the beach is all yours.

My wife and I spent a week at this amazing hotel/resort. If you really want to get away from it all in a beautiful setting with zero distractions and don't need/want anything other than peace, quiet, great food and no hassles, this is the place to go. The small bay is very tranquil, the water is clear and the sand... More

We spent 2 nights at this really unique place. The scenery which includes the bay and the hotel facilities is almost too beautiful to be true. The food was really good as the half Mexican half Swiss cook showed real talents at reinterpreting the Mexican cuisine. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful but we felt that they also... More

It is such a surprise to inch along a rugged road down to this rustic yet luxurious hotel on the Pacific. The palapa cabanas are comfortable but not luxurious. Don't look for hot water showers, for example and in the smaller cabanas don't even look for doors that shut to the bathrooms. But these rustic accommodations sit on or above... More

Many of the negative reviews have good points. This is not the Ritz. There are only sandy paths. There are bugs, and other wildlife. They don't advertise themselves as an upscale resort. This is a chance to get away. It is in a hidden cove that you have to take a dirt road to get to. We found the setting... More

Nestled among the rugged cliffs and dense tropical vegetation of Oaxaca’s Pacific coast is La Boquilla, a protected cove of white sand and still turquoise water. Virtually untouched by development, this pristine and secluded location – where osprey circle lazily over a silent beach – is the perfect setting for vacationers seeking a truly unique retreat experience.Protected by small islets and tall headlands the crescent beach provides a perfect setting for those vacationers seeking a truly unique retreat, for those who would rather hear the whisper of a gentle fan than the whirr of the air conditioner; for those who prefer snorkel and a sea kayak to the roar of a jet ski; for those who wish to practise yoga and sunrise meditation in an eco-sensitive environment and yet appreciate the best of fresh, natural, local foods & international wines in an exquisite water side setting, this may be the place you have always sought... ... more   less
