Im not going to write a lengthy review for this hotel because it's Mexicali. It's exactly what you would expect out of a 2.5 star hotel in the US / 4 star hotel in Mexico. Felt like a bad Holiday Inn. Tub wouldn't drain and sewer gas was enterung the room from the floor drain. Beds were uncomfortable and the... More

Large and clean rooms, well furnished and most of them recently renovated. Location is excellent, close to many restaurants, casinos and night clubs. A little bit noisy but nothing to bother your sleep. On a high note is the included breakfast buffete and the free wifi service, parking is included as well. There are two restaurants inside, Fonda de Mexicali... More

This is an excellent hotel. The people are very kind and they have a great breakfast buffet. I was on a bussiness trip and I think it's the best hotel at the city, I've been in Crowne plaza and at lucerna and dind't like any of them, they are kind of old. More

We stayed here one night and enjoyed our experience. Although the pool was too cold to swim in (Feb.), we enjoyed having a room that overlooked it whose window we could open (unlike so many US hotels that seal out the fresh air). Large rooms, comfortable beds, nice shower, free wifi. The highlight was the breakfast buffet, which was included... More

I always either stay here in the "new building" or in a bungalow at the Lucerna down the street. Each has its ups and downs. For the Araiza... Ups: The rooms are large, well-furnished, and clean. The climate control is easily adjustable and works well. There is a fridge in the room, and the sink area is outside the bathroom... More

I have stayed in Mexicali many times, but due to the trains at the Crowne Plaza, I decided to stay at the Araiza this time for 4 days including a weekend. The walls are not very thick, so on Friday night, I had to run the air conditioner all night to drown out the noise of families and children in... More

When I made the reservation by phone, they give a total price for two days, when I check out they said it was for each day ! I paid 250 dollar per room per day ! I talk with manager and dont change anything. I was a custumer many times before and I know the price. Again Watch out!! More

Thankfully I found this place as an alternative (read Crowne Plaza for more details). I ended up with the suite. Excellent value given the size and the rate. The restaurant on the property was great along with the location of the hotel. Breakfast was good and accommodating; they made it happen if they did not have it. One drawback, the... More
