Drove from Jasper to Banff expecting something great, not so.... Got to our room, really small two double beds and two chairs in front of an open fire place. Sounds quaint,... but could not fit in anything else. Upon inspection, no fridge!! Staying for 4 nights. Staff lovely and very helpful when we asked about a fridge. Offered to bring... More

Was at Buffalo Mountain Lodge for a Yoga retreat. I live close to Banff and have been there many times though rarely to stay a night. My experience was wonderful. The staff, the setting, the food, the rooms, were all wonderful. Clean, comfortable, quiet. My room even had a claw foot tub! The bathroom was huge. There were robes in... More

We spent one night in a suite with a fireplace and king bed at the Buffalo Mountain Lodge. The rooms are quaint and the fireplace is really nice. They leave you lots of great wood so it is easy to get your fire going. The bathrooms are beautiful with heated floors and nice slate. The staff are very friendly and... More

We stayed at Buffalo Mountain Lodge for two nights in a suite with our daughter. The check-in staff were welcoming and very friendly. This lodge is situated on Tunnel Mountain, just up from the town of Banff. The spectacular beauty surrounding us at the lodge included the majestic snow covered mountains, icing dipped tall pines and a piercingly blue sky.... More

This was my favourite place to stay in our trip in which our overnight stops were in Vancouver, Whistler, Jasper, Lake Louise and Calgary. Our room on the second of 2 floors was spacious, had a really comfy, cosy feel, great fireplace and nice ensuite with lovely toiletries. We set up a fire on our first night and enjoyed relaxing... The lodge offers good clean rooms with plenty of wood for the fireplace; the deluxe room has a large separate bathroom with a nice large tub and separate shower tiled with beautiful local Rundle Stone. We have stayed several times over the years and have always found the staff at the dining room to be friendly and helpful. The menu... More

Great place just outside Banff but the ski bus service is great so not a problem at all. We loved our room which had an open fire, large comfortable bed and spotless bathroom. Both restaurants are fantastic, a little overpriced but convenient if you didn't fancy going into town, also the choice at breakfast was second to none! We were... More

A lovely hotel but a good walk from the center of town. There is a small shop and a launderette just a round the corner which we found on our last day there. More

Stayed here with the wife on our anniversary as a quick getaway from Calgary. The hotel was quite busy with reading week, and I believe a wedding. It is a very nice lodge in a nice quieter setting of Banff, well off the typical boring Banff Avenue hotel stretch. While this means you drive/taxi to the restaurants, it feels a... More

To start off... EAT THERE!!! Trust me, this place is on par with any of the best restaurants in the world, yet has an unmistakable feeling that you are in the heart of the fresh air, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life (the hotel is a $7 cab ride from downtown Banff- not exactly a metropolis,...
