My wife and I stayed in the one bedroom condo. The suite was very nice and we liked that the kitchen area was upgraded with granite countertops, tiles, cabinets, appliances, etc.. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed and the appliances worked fine. I would suggest that they should have provided non-stick frying pans instead of the bare metal... More

I feel so sorry for hotels that have to suffer through bad reviews of their properties. I have read reviews of this property where the reviewers complained about the high price of food in Banff, how they had a bad time at the border, how the weather sucks, etc. All of which has nothing to do with the hotel. I'm... More

We stayed from Nov 11-14 2011. The decor was pretty outdated and the suite smelled a little musty at first but not gross.....just a little stale. Staff was friendly, we told them it was our honeymoon and they gave us complimentary champagne and firewood on our last night and a handwritten card from the hotel. Overall great impression of the... My friends and I stayed here in October 2011. We were given a two bedroom chalet I think it was #2086. Make sure you inspect the room before you accept it is my best advice right now. We found out that at least 50 of the rooms were being renovated and in real need of it! Our room was not... More

Thank you for your review. We have renovated three quarters of the resort and now have approximately 50 rooms to complete. We are in the process of renovating three rooms right now as test suites with the bulk of the renovations to commence in January 2012 barring any unforseen circumstances. We were glad to hear that you were happy with... More

We stayed at the Rocky Mountain Resort with our 4 children! It was not the best! The walls were thin and echoey, you were able to hear cupboards closing in the condos below and alongside! We were assigned a condo which had been apparently refurbished, but I question it to be honest as it felt very dated! TV was large... More

We were very sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay at the resort. All timeshae facilities offer different services. We offer a midweek clean at the resort and condos can be cleaned daily for a fee if you request it. We also would have brought you any additional items you required for your room had you spoken to... We had two separate condos, one 2 bedroom in the refurbished area and one 1 bedroom in non-refurbished area. Both supposed to be in the refurbished area but the 1 bedroom we were assigned reeked of smoke (non-smoking property mind you) so we had to switch. The 2 bedroom units are upstairs to start with, very steep stairs with a... More

Thank you for taking the time to write comments about your stay at the resort. The resort is part timeshare and part hotel. It looks like you made your booking at the resort through a timeshare exchange company. We have advised the exchange companies that the resort is not handicap accessible. The reason for this is that the resort is... More

This hotel is located about two kilometers from the downtown area of Banff. Banff Avenue is the main street through the business district and motel row. This hotel is on Banff Avenue, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping area. For people who do not have transportation, a shuttle service is provided. There are several... We stayed at the Rocky Mountain Resort for 1 night. We chose the resort because it takes dogs and it looked nice in the pictures. We had a main floor room. It is cozy, but you have a separate bedroom from the seating area, and a nice sized bathroom. There is also a full kitchenette with dishes and a dishwasher!... More

Three of us, all senior ladies, drove from WA state's Olympic Peninsula to Banff and Jasper. None of us had ever seen the Canadian Rockies before. Let me tell you -- it was well worth the trip! Living at the foot of the Olympics, we're used to beautiful mountains -- but the Rockies are SPECTACULAR!! Every turn in the road... More

We stayed in August. Booked on Hotwire. On arrival we were upgraded to a 2 level suite with fireplace, 2 bathrooms and small kithcen with fridge but no stove. This was located across the street from the main building. It was very clean and staff very friendly. Not in the downtown of Banff but the shuttle was great to have.... More
