This is our second visit in a year and we live about 1500 kilometres away! We couldn't think of a more romantic peaceful spot to shake off a long winter. Scents of pine trees and woodsmoke, glimpses of wildlife, and a magical atmosphere in the cabins and the Lodge. Eating here is a must... It will be hard to leave... More

The cabins are charming and have claw foot tubs and fireplaces. They are the real log cabin experience. We had a wine pairing dinner and all was fabulous. Very fine. We met a few couples that were just there for the dinner. They have a charming lodge with a bar and great gift shop. All of this with an amazing... More

If you want to spend a night or two high up in the Rocky Mountains, want to feel and see what it was like a hundred years ago, then spend some time at Storm Mountain Lodge and Cabins...quaint individual cabins set amongst the pines with spectacular views...a warm fireplace with lots of firewood...very comfortable queen size bed and for an... We spent one day of our honeymoon here and loved it ! The food, service and cabin was fantastic! Great deal we found in local paper for shoulder season. Included three course meal and accommodation which was very affordable. Main lodge was very welcoming as well as all staff including friendly dog that wanted to take us snowshoeing. Will definitely... More

I have been staying at Storm Mountain for 30 years with my family. It is the ultimate peaceful getaway in the mountains. The restaurant serves amazing cuisine, we enjoyed scones and coffee in bed while watching the fire in our real wood fireplace. We went snow shoeing and enjoyed the lounge afterwards and warmed up by the fire with a... More

We just spent a 'winter weekend' in heaven with Storm Mountain Cabins. The bungalows are warm and cozy with a wood burning fireplace, comfy beds, no TV or radio...YEE HAW; just peace and quiet. They offer free snowshoes and have a path that even beginners can manage through the forest behind the cabins...one feels just like an early explorer, only... More

Forgot the Fairmont and any traditional hotel. If you want to stay in Banff or Lake Louise area this is the place to stay at. In the middle of the wilderness, in your own log cabin, with real wood fireplace and most modern amenities. This was a great place to be.

Back in the 1920's when there was little development in the Rockies, it's easy to see why this spot was chosen, surrounded by such magnificent mountains and close by to the rail lines. Today it is just an hour from Calgary, but you feel like you are back in time, away from it all. We had one of the original... More

What a great little page out of Canadian History, 14 log cabins built around 1922, all have runnning water and toilets...It is a great place to take a romantic weekend. Ensure you dress for 3 seasons if you plan on doing outdoor activities. The food was good as well, menu is limited but it is very yummy. Banff and Lake... More

We've traveled all through Europe and have stayed in some wonderful hotels and inns, but none compare to the romantic, cozy, old-fashioned charm of Storm Mountain Lodge. We spent two glorious nights tucked away from any outside distractions in our delightful Cabin 3. We enjoyed snowshoeing on the extensive and beautiful hiking trails, ate delicious meals at the lodge, and... More
