This was our second visit to Storm Mountain Lodge. We really enjoy this place for it's quietness and the restaurant. We had cabin #4 (again!) which we enjoy as it feels like it's a bit more private than the others. These cabins are no fuss....it was clean and comfortable and provided exactly what we were looking for. The only issue... More

Storm Mountain was a very peaceful and beautiful place to stay for a weekend. Our cabin had a wood burning stove and was set back from the main highway - no noise whatsoever! No tv, Internet or phones to bother you. Definitely eat in the restaurant......the bison tenderloin was one of the best cuts of meat I have tasted! More

If you are looking for a relaxing vacation away then this is the place for you! The food is simply amazing (try both the scallops and bison tenderloin). The cabins are rustic and comortable with a very helpful staff. Best of all for us, they are a pet-friendly property. Location is close to Sunshine Ski Resort, Lake Louise, and a... More

This is a gem. Absolutely great food. One delicious roast lamb, one delicate scallops and great desserts and good wines. Giant fireplace in the lodge, piano, bar, books, comfortable furniture and tasteful gift shop. Wonderful setting with rustic comfortable cabins.Trails on site Great staff. Took advantage of "Locals" mid-week. Great value. Been here before and loved the peace and quiet.... More

Treasure of the Banff Rockies. These tiny log cabins are charming and comfortable, each with a rustic stone fireplace. Great location about half way between Sunshine and Lake Louise downhill ski areas. The dining room is located in the closed-in porch of the original historic lodge with views across the valley to Storm Mountain. The menu is small, but the... More

Storm Mountain Lodge offers the perfect romantic getaway location - charming, perfect cabins surrounded by Banff's majesty, isolated yet close enough to both ski hills and the town-site. We stayed in a cabin-for-two for two nights. There is no cooking allowed and no modern-life conveniences (coffee maker, hairdryer, Internet, phone, etc) but who wants them? Cellphone reception was good. The... More

We spent Christmas at this very special place this year. The service, meals and atmosphere were outstanding and made our holiday so special. Thanks to the owners for sharing their little piece of heaven with us during the holiday season. We will be back!!!! More

We didn't stay there (yet) but we did stop for lunch, and as you step through the door into the dining hall building, that unmistakable aroma of a stately old log building that has been heated for decades with a wood stove is wonderful. The ambiance of the place is simply superb, and we found the quality of the food... More

We live in Canmore and sometimes love to just get away from it all. This is our 10th trip and every single time we get the same result. Absolute bliss and relaxation. It's rustic, it's not a fancy 5 star hotel. It's understated elegance, fine fining but above all the ambience is what u make it. If you want marble... More

My partner and I wanted to get out of the bustle of the city, into the mountains and a private cabin all to ourselves. We didn't want to be in a populated area such as Banff but more off to the side, where we would see less people and be able to enjoy nature on our own. We found the... More
