The staff at Banff Y were very hospitable, especially Cameron, on my arrival. He was quick to point out the hot spots in Banff and lead me in the right direction for all my needs. The shared Kitchen had great facilities. The location also is fantastic, walking distance to Banff Ave. More

My husband, our 20 y/o son and I stayed here for 4 nights last week. We had a family room. Everything was clean. We had 2 double beds (and there was a fold out settee if required, which we didn't). Very little storage space. Small fridge in room which was great. Shared kitchen and dining room. Ensuite was clean. No... More

Thank you Spunkybabe for taking the time to post such a thorough review. I was really happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us & that the room you choose for your family matched your needs. I'll make note to speak with our Maintenance Manager regarding mild temperature changes in the shower of the family room. We hope... More

Stayed here with two friends in a private room with ensuite. Gave us a roll-away bed at no extra charge. Great location and staff were friendly but moved to King George Hotel after two nights because it actually worked out to be cheaper. More

A buddy and I decided to crash here one night before going skiing to Nakiska the next day. The Y Lodge was quite frankly the cheapest place we could find for a twin room. The check-in staff were friendly and helpful, you get free parking each night you stay and the beds were very comfy. The room was clean although... More

I stayed in a double room with a private shower and toilet. It was basic but clean and tidy. Only two plug sockets in the entire room though so had to unplug the bedside light to charge my phone. The rooms are very quiet, a few doors down a group of guys were listening to music with their door open,... More

I've stayed here 3 times now - always consistent - excellent staff, I mean everyone from front desk to cleaning was awesome. The rooms are no frills but clean and very large AND quiet. What more can I say really - its located where a hotel would cost you at least 2 - 3 times as much!! Easy decision.. RA More

Three of us stayed here in a three bed room with ensuite and kitchenette. Clean, spacious, warm, everything we wanted really. The staff are also very helpful and the parking was free. We were lucky with the kitchenette in our room which was basically stocked with crockery and cutlery so consequently we didnt use or even see the communal cooking... More

We stayed in a room with one double bed and a private bath. The rooms are very simple, but clean. No bath, small shower only. The hostel/hotel has a group kitchen and laundry facilities. The kitchen could be cleaner and more plates, dishes. Needs improvement. More

The hostel is not like a 5 star hotel but price wise its a better deal staying in Banff. We stayed at 2 people private room with shared bathroom. One problem the customer could face is sometime waiting for bathrooms. But its not bad, the longer I wait I had was no longer than 5min. The hotel also has a... More
