It's a little bit of a stroll into town but doable. Nice but no frills. Quiet and clean and place to stay like any decent motel. Would easily choose Bumpers again if we travelled to Banff again. Couple in late 20s approves!

If you are in Banff and want a friendly, super clean, quiet place to stay make sure to choose Bumpers. It is on the edge of town but only a 10 minutes walk to the main area. The rooms are super clean, wonderful beds (the best I have had in a motel). The TV, in our room, was super large... More

Very comfortable bed, big counter in the bathroom so no balancing act on the edge of the sink, hot shower, fluffy new towels, coffee maker, microwave and fridge, free wifi. Perfect. If you want the big lobby with the automatic doors opening and the pool and spa...this is not for you. Yes, it is a ten minute stroll along Banff... More

It wasn't fancy, was out dated, but it was clean, quiet, and out in the less busier part of town. Although, Saturday night got a little noisy with rowdies staying in the hotel, up till 3am. We stayed Sunday night, and it was so quiet and peaceful. Staff was very friendly. Room had all that was required, coffee maker, microwave,... More

Stayed at Bumpers for 2 nights, an affordable place to stay, seemed clean enough but didn't have that "warm fuzzy feeling", very basic but can't complain for 70$ per night. A bit of a walk from the night life/boutique, about 10-15min.

The place is a bit off downtown, but if u want to keep on a reasonable budget, this is a fantastic place to stay. Rooms are clean, a bit warmer than expected (I went in June, but during winter who would ever complain!), quiet, comfy beds, decor is sober and you can even spot squirrels right outside your window! Banff is not a cheap destination, but the Bumpers Inn is affordable and pleasant enough. Desk clerk was helpful, we arrived after 9pm. The steakhouse next door is good but the rest of Banff is almost too far to walk - so only stay here if you have a car.

We live only 1 hour away from Banff and we go often to get away from the city. Instead of staying in a nasty hostel and I have heard they can get nasty this place is clean and quiet. Whenever we can't get in our favorite hotels in high summer season we go here because it's affordable and clean. It... More

This is going to be a relatively long review. There is a lot to cover. Please be patient. The point? Stay away from this place. Apparently everyone else is. Generally I book hotels on Priceline.com. With the help of some other websites I can usually get a really good deal on a four-star hotel. This was not possible in Banff.... More

It's not luxurious. Read the other reviews. However, I loved all the windows facing the courtyard and the large room that reminded me of a Wisconsin cabin. Bed was very comfortable, nice quilt. Loved having the fridge. This was one of the "cheapest" available hotels for September at $125 nt..with tax, almost $150 ! Western Canada is very expensive !... More
