I stayed here one night while on business and really enjoyed my stay, very pleasant and attentive staff. The room was nice, comfortable bed and had all of the standard room comforts you would expect. It also had a nice selection of bathroom amenities, 2 complimentary bottles of water, biscotti to enjoy with your coffee and a complimentary newspaper in... More

We spent one night at the Sawridge. As per our request, we were in a room on the second floor in a wing that had never been smoked in. The room was very quiet. All the staff--front desk, airport shuttle drivers, restaurant, and lounge--were very helpful and friendly. We went on the OilSands Discovery Tour, and the information center and... More

We spent one night at this hotel and were very pleased with the entire experience. Our room was on the third floor and we found it to be very quiet. The room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The room did, however, smell like it had been previously smoked in so if either of us had allergies it could have... More

Spent one night while on a business trip and would definitely stay here again. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and very informative answering any question on the Ft. McMurray area. The room was clean, neat with a very comfortable bed. It was very quiet on my floor and did not notice anything out of place. Ft. McMurray was very... More

I have never before stayed in a hotel that didn't have enough water pressure to take a shower. Also, as the water flow fluctuates, you have to be careful not to get burned. The soundproofing is terrible and you can feel a door slam down the hall. The juice at the breakfast buffet was so watery it was undrinkable. Stronger... More

I had to travel to Fort McMurray for work and found the Sawridge online. The room was very expensive(over $300 for one night). I am sure it had been a smoking room at one point and they had tried to cover up the smoke/musty smell with air freshener or something. The room smelled as thought it had been doused with... More

Dear Kathy S. and angela106: The 1st floor of one wing was a smoking floor until May of 2011, at which time it was professionally deep cleaned & painted, etc. We are re-doing it again, as smoke odor has somehow re-surfaced. Our first floor rooms were completed renovated and re-furbished in 2009 and all our 2nd & 3rd floor rooms... More

This is a very nice hotel. Most staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and there's even a pond of Koi fish in the resort adjacent to the indoor pool. The lobby features a remarkably big dream-catcher and some native crafts. Besides, the restaurant offers a top-notch buffet even with Alaskan King Crab and top quality prime ribs... More
