Easily accessed from the Parkway; good parking facilities; welcoming staff; room clean and spacious; unfortunately we got there later in the day:the room felt warm, and tired out we decided to go to bed straight away. As time passed we realised the heating was not working and the room got increasingly colder. In spite of the noise - indeed it... More

I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for making us aware of this issue. We do have a 24 hour reception desk as well as maintenance to help with any issues that arise during a guests stay. As for the room rate the month of May is the beginning of the peak season. Jasper does not have as many... More

We had a minor problem checking in but the problem was handled in a very courteous manner and we were completely satisfied. The room was clean and comfortable and all the staff we encountered were helpful and pleasant. Although out room faced the main street and railroad tracks noise was not a problem. The hotel restaurant has a great menu... More

I was also there the night of the fire and I have to say I was very happy with how the hotel handled the situation. It was very unfortunate that someone decided to pull the alarm at 3:30am as a prank the same day an actual fire occurred because I definitely second guessed the second alarm. My boyfriend and I... Was clean and tidy, although the bathroom door didn't shut. the hotel itself was noisy due to construction, kids running upstairs sounded like a herd of elephants. Everyone was pleasant but there was no fridge in the room . More

Got a last minute reservation at the Amethyst Lodge for a saturday night during Jasper in January and was circumspect about what the stay would be like. We normally book at the Marmot Lodge or Chateau Jasper when staying with Moutain Park Lodges. I had stayed at the Amethyst Lodge many years ago and the rooms were tired, and the... More

Stayed here in November 2009, location was ok but didn't really like the hotel rooms, they seemed a little dated and the beds were quite uncomfortable. The room could of been a little cleaner. Breakfast was good and good price too. More

We booked the hotel "through" living social (2 nights for $128 w/ breakfast) The room was decent, had a living room and a bed room. But the carpet looked gross (no "stains" but just looks dirty) but the couch and bed were good. The staff were friendly, but when I went inside to tell them that a guest had left... More

Though we don't ski there were plenty of skiers about. We could hear them during the later part of the evening but come bedtime they appeared to need their rest too and so we got two nice nights of rest on very comfortable beds (always an issue for me). Everything was clean and inviting and I will very likely stay... More

If you're just staying in Jasper for a few days and passing through, I recommend staying here as it is one of the "cheaper" places in Jasper. Yes, everything is over-priced in Jasper, but some of the other hotels are ghastly overpriced. If you're tired enough after a day of snowboarding, you will sleep no matter what. More

The room was quite large, which was nice. It was quite dated but it was clean. The first night we were there, we called order room service and were suprised when they told us that it would be ready for us to pick up in a half hour. Not exactly room service... We were even more surprised to find a... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for comments and observations regarding your stay with us at the Amethyst Lodge. I apologize for the confusion that you encountered during your stay. It is correct that we do not offer traditional room service within any of our properties, however you should have been advised accordingly as per our standard procedures. I am also disappointed...
