This has got to be far the worst place to stay. I used to love staying here, but since the city took over running it not so much. No one is here from 7am- 5pm , the bathrooms are dirty, people have their dogs off leash in the day. then at 5pm they have 2-3 girls come in that have... More

I have stayed at the Lions twice, both times because I was in between housing and neither time was pleasant. I have dogs (which the management never liked) and cleaned up after them without fail, having been warned every time I entered the park by the management because their landscape crew complained of dog feces near my trailer site. I don't know whether it's a Canadian thing or not; but in England being able to put pegs in the ground is a fundamental. This shares the same gravel flooring as other Canadian campsites (Two Jack). A leaflet told us not to tie anything to trees, but I ended up using them to tie off guy ropes and didn't get... More

We were traveling from Saskatchewan heading for the mountains, stopped in Stettler because the sun was in our eyes. After the sunset we made our way to Red Deer to spend the night. We spotted the "Lion Campground" signage and found the campground. When inquiring about getting a spot to park.for the night, we were told "sorry we don't allow you... More

I have not camped at this site and can only speak to my experience using their dumping station. I have used their sani dump regularly over the past three years and have found it to be in steadily declining condition and the prices always going up. Used to be $4 in 2010, last year $5, this year $6. The condition... More

Camped here to enjoy the bike paths while attending a conference. Found the staff a bit terse but pleasant enough, and they were helpful about extending my checkout time several times, first when a session ran late and then when I wanted to spend more time biking. I enjoyed a quiet, pleasant stay in beautiful autumn surroundings. People who tend... More

The people who run this campground are very rude and ignorant. My wife and children will never stay here again,They allow homeless people to live in the campground and you can't leave anything sitting out or it will be stolen, even if you decide to have a sleep in the afternoon in your camp site don't leave anything out. The homeless people... More

Super Rates $31.00, full hookups, very clean washrooms and grounds. Your not in the woods but there is plenty of trees in the campground. 5 minutes to shopping and 20 minutes to Sylvan Lake. No Reservations, first come first served.
