What a beautiful and restful retreat! Unfortunately could only spend one night as I was down on buysiness--the room and ensuite was lovely (OMG--the clawfoot soaker tub)--Cassandra was a very gracious & accommodating hostess--and the breakfast (a recipe of her own creation) was exquisite and I'm quite a 'foodie.' This is truly a hidden gem in Duncan!

We truly felt like Homesdale House B&B was our home while we spent time in the Duncan area. Our room was spacious, comfortable king size bed, great pillows and large en suite bathroom. The common area between the bedrooms is also well equipped, everything is neat and very clean. Breakfast were far better than at home......fresh local fruit, local produce... More

I had a longer stay this trip and the owners made things very comfortable for my entire time. The breakfasts were amazing and featured the seasonal variety available on the Island. The recommondations for things to do and with the very hot weather, a beautiful beach to swin in. The room was kept cool which made sleeping great. Thanks again... More

When we arrived we were received by the host, a nice gentleman, so kind that he seemed coming from times gone by. He introduced Essex, his loved dog, to us and showed our room with private bathroom. The bedroom was cosy, the bathroom very large and clean. The dining room was also cosy and clean. The house was old with... More

I booked this place when I couldn't find accomodations on SaltSpring Island, and Duncan is near the ferry to the island. While Duncan itself is not so much of a destination in my opinion, it is very centrally located to this part of Vancouver Island, and would make it a good spot if you are making day trips both north,... My wife and I were in town for a friend's wedding, and this B&B was the closest place we found to the location of the wedding. Have nothing but good things to say - friendly hosts who did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, delicious unique breakfasts with great options for allergies, and clean comfortable... We were thrilled with the fascinating history of the place and the old fashioned hospitality we received. My husband who can never sleep anywhere outside of home, had a very restful sleep. The breakfasts are three course meals and being a celiac it was catered to me and wonderful to have such great food.

After we were warmly greeted, our host explained that this house was the very first residence in Duncan - built in 1881. Now it is part of town, just a little north of downtown but still inside city limits. The decor and restoration job on the inside is quite lovely. The bed is comfy; the pillows good. We enjoyed tea... More

We have been to several B&Bs and this one topped it. Very professional, clean, and welcoming B&B. We spent two days in the king bedroom. Very spacious and comfortable. Relaxed in a nice hot crawl foot bath and slept in! Cozy living room next to our room to unwind and have a glass of wine. Details such as having a... More
