We stayed at the Maverick for one night this month on our way to the Sunshine Coast. We didn't reserve ahead of time, but the desk staff honored the on-line rate when I asked. Stayed here on the way from Jasper through to Whistler. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and tidy with a great view over the city. We all went on the slide which the kids really enjoyed. Beds were comfortable enough. Breakfast was ok with the usual fare of cereal, toast, bagels and muffins. More

We have stayed here twice......and we will never,ever stay again.The front desk clerk and no people skills,everything was outdated,you get charged for every little thing and u can't check out until the staff does a thorough search of the room.WTF is that about?There are many nice places to stay at in Kamloops...........avoid this one. Not only highly convenient , but a gem of a place for a quiet and comfortable rest when one drives Hwy 1. The rooms are spotless and tons big enough. The beds very comfortable. A simple continental breakfast is included in the room cost. I would definitely recommend this hotel More

I've stayed at other hotels in Kamloops for a "staycation" but the Maverick is by far my favorite. Kids always enjoy themselves in the pool and that waterslide is a huge bonus to wearing them out. Recently stayed here with my daughter's sports team for 1 night. Great rate, very clean, nice pool, hot tub, waterslide and very friendly, helpful staff. Don't know if I could have stayed longer as the beds/pillows are not the most comfortable though.
