We stayed at the Black Bear B&B for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. What a wonderful grand building with an interesting history and great view of the surrounding mountains. The Grand Room has an extremely comfortable bed with down-filled pillows, bedding, etc. We enjoyed two delicious full breakfasts. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner and staff. We highly recommend the... More

We have stayed at Black Bear B and B twice. The home is so beautiful and you feel like you are at home when you walk in. Greg makes a delicious breakfast every morning served with fresh fruit and hot coffee. The rooms are so comfortable and are decorated tastefully. We have stayed in the room with the ensuite both... Our family (2adults/2children) just spent 4 nights at the Black Bear. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay. It was the perfect set up for us. This is one of the best bed and breakfasts we have ever stayed in. You can tell that the owners take pride in their work and in the house. This heritage house... More

The 100 year old home has been tastefuly renevated to maintain the history of the era in which it was built. Not a thing to do in the morning, the breakfast is ready to be cooked or prepared as soon as you surface. I would highly recommend the Black Bear B &B, it was by far the best/ nicest place... More

This property is located a 10 minute walk from the main drag in Rossland and a 10 min drive to the ski hill. At $100.00 a night for a room without a bathroom they are charging a fair price but it is not a bargain. The shared bathroom provided is very small -- not even a shelf for the shaving... More

Thank you for your comments. You are our toughest critic so far and we wanted to be sure to help future guest be assured that we continue to offer our very best. The house is 114 years old, built in 1899, and unfortunately at the turn of the last century homes just didn't come with indoor plumbing let alone en-suite... More

Sometimes, rarely, a B&B gets everything just right. Down to the details - long stem cutlery, mission style furniture, comfortable sofas to collapse into, dark wood paneled rooms, beautifully updated suite in an older craftsman style home. What a nice surprise in Rossland! The 'Grand Suite' was lovely, simple, tastefully redone, and dreamy comfortable with a four-poster bed and enormous... More

Our decision to stay at the Black Bear was based on previous reviews and it did not disappoint. It's small - just three rooms - but we had the Grand Suite, which is the biggest and the only one with an ensuite. It was very clean and well appointed. There's a nice common room to lounge in. The owners were... More

We stayed here unfortunately for one night but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Greg and Tauna are terrific hosts. I appreciate all the fine details of this home. The furniture and choice of colors are lovely. From the linens to the bath towels, all were top rate. The location is in a residential section but close enough to all the attractions... More

My 15-year old daughter and I enjoyed a marvelous stay at the Blackbear Inn recently. Greg and Tauna manage a small, beautifully refurbished "heritage home" in Rossland, located within a quiet residential neighborhood close to the historic downtown. The Blackbear Inn rooms are elegant and comfortable. The larger home and guest areas are beautifully appointed with craftsman-style furniture. Greg and... More

We just returned from a five night stay at the Black Bear Inn. The house is a ten minute walk to the main street and a 5 minute drive to the hill. The common areas (dining room, living room) are very tastefully appointed with lots of books, magazines and big comfy couches. Tauna served us a yummy hot breakfast each... More
