Finally writing this review - we stayed in September 2011. The B&B is located in the "West Vic" area of Victoria, which is quite a ways from downtown and in a residential area. That was fine with us, since we had a car. The beds were comfortable but our rooms were small and essentially in the basement - the main... More

Seems the folks who are "not satisfied" stayed in my "economy rooms" These rooms are priced much less because they don't offer the "location" and "space" of the higher priced rooms but they still offer all the ameneties of a "good hotel" without the high prices and also includes a "free breakfast" served in a beautiful "oceanview dining room" Interesting... We stayed 2 nights at Downtown Victoria Ocean View bed and breakfast. It is conveniently located in the residential area, took us about 15 minutes to walk to downtown. The guest room was clean but very small, especially the TV is tiny. The hostess was friendly, but left us feeling uncomfortable. She watched us eating breakfast and reminded us not... More

Yes, my "economy rooms" are small that's why the price is so economical especially since breakfast is included. I've stayed at many hotels and bed and breakfasts myself and I know for a fact that my rates are very economical! The breakfast available for "free" at A Downtown Victoria Ocean View Bed and Breakfast costs $18 per person in a... More

Yvette was very nice and helpfull! she even sent me with extra food after breakfast! :) My boyfriend and I loved the walk from downtown that set it apart from all the downtown hotels. It gave us an extra experience we would not have had otherwise. The beds were very comfortable and everything was extremely clean. She gave us excellent... More

Room really clean and bed really comfortable. Bathroom a little bit outdated and small. Breakfast is good and varied. Located a little bit far from downtown but the place is calm. The hostess is nice and gives good advice on what to do. Overall, a place to be recommended. P.S The only ocean view you will have is upstair for... More

This is my second stay at this B&B, it is fantastic, well appointed rooms, very spacious with lots of room for suitcases, comphy bed and great breakfast. The walk along the ocean front boardwalk is beautiful, saw seals some days. Love it and looking forward to return trip next June. More

My adult daughter and I stayed at Yvette's for two nights while visiting family. The self check-in meant we didn't have to worry about arriving later in the evening. Our room was extremely clean, very well equipped and nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed and chairs. The two breakfasts that we had were exceptional - local sausages, apple pancakes,... Very well appointed B n' B!! LOVED the "Modern Mediteranean" decor! We stayed there 3 nights, July 23-25,2010 incl. The "self check-in" as advertised worked well. We didn't have to worry about arriving at an "inconvenient time" (as happened at another location on our trip), and had a concise packet of info waiting upon arrival! We appreciated that each room has... More

Three of the four of us that stayed here had visited Victoria before. We wanted something off the beaten path yet close to the downtown activities. This b&b was just what we hoped it would be! We were close to a walking trail that led to the downtown area or, if preferred, a short drive. The room my husband and... More

Our 2-night stay in late September was delightful. The rooms were tastefully done and very clean. We had a small patio overlooking the garden and gazebo...just right for enjoying a bottle of wine. Yvette provided a yummy breakfast of fresh fruit with frittata one morning and fruit with berry pancakes another day. She was a delightful person and not at... More
