This HI was built for the Olympics so its very new. Easily the nicest hostel I have stayed in. I was in a four person dorm. The seperate bathroom and shower were kept spotless the whole time we were there. The staff were friendly. The place only has three downsides. 1 - Poor WIFI strength 2 - Distance from village... I heard about this hostel before going to stay there and it was even better than I expected. I stayed there by myself and unlike many hostels I have stayed in I noticed that there were many families staying there as well. This hostel is nicer than many hotels I have stayed in. It would be nice if there was... More

This is a great new hostel that was built as athlete housing for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Beds in clean and quiet 4 person dorm rooms go for about $30 CAN per night. Great kitchen and common areas with a cafe on the main floor that does breakfast and lunch. The hostel is a little ways outside of the Whistler... More

I had a great stay in Jan 2012, front desk staff were more than helpful, Al was great. Clean hostel, comfortable beds, I was able to get a good night sleep. Rooms all have bathrooms with showers, some bathrooms are shared between 2 dorms. Lockers in the rooms are a good size and allow you to safely charge your electronics.... More

Internet constantly cutting out, weak signal and barely any connection resulted in annoyance for myself and others around me suffering from the same problem. the rooms were definately cramped with 4 fully grown men struggling to fit in the room, and the so called cupboards for luggage only able to hold the smallest of suitcases/bags. security was excellent, as was... We got a private room for ourselves and 13 month old baby. The room was fine and very clean. It was near the end of a hall. despite this, our sleep was regularly interrupted by very excitable youngsters who were returning from their night out, at 2.30-6am. The communal areas were good, albeit a bit cramped compared to many other... More

Hi, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to read there were some issues with your stay. It is unfortunate that we failed to have our quiet hours respected the night you stayed with us, we will work with our night personnel to ensure that we minimize noise levels overnight. I will definitely look into our kitchen equipment, thanks... More

Excellent hostel! Modern, clean, comfortable. Couldn't ask for much more. The only drawback is that it is a little out of the way, but the bus system is easy to use. More

I stayed at the Whistler hostel from Sept. 26th to Sept. 29th, 2011. After a two night stay in a private room, I discovered I was getting bitten by bed bugs. They transferred me to another room. My biggest fear was bringing the bed bugs home with me. My other fear was my health though the bites are considered harmless. More

Thank you for the feedback. Immediately after you notified us of your concerns, we had the room in question thoroughly cleaned and treated for bed bugs. Bed bugs are unfortunately carried all over the world by unsuspecting travelers, and there is no way to prevent them. Recognizing that this is a serious problem in many parts of the world, including... More

I stayed in this hostel for 4 nights. The hostel is really modern and everything looks really new. The showers etc. were clean. There are balconys were you can sit and enjoy the mountain views. Futhermore there is a huge kitchen you can use. There is no complimentary breakfast. Either you buy something and store it in one of the... More
