We traveled from BC to Yellowknife. It was easy to find the hotel off the highway and room was clean and bathrooms were clean and lots of towels which was really a big plus...the rooms were newly renovated. We got there late at night almost by midnight and checked in quickly. The bed was very softy and after a long... More

The hotel is well-located - we could walk to everything. My husband has stayed there 2 or 3 times before, but it seems that things have deteriorated. The hotel was noisy, including in the middle of the night. Walls are paper thin, and apparently it is common to have large groups rent a room and party - when desk staff... More

Recently I was sent to Yellowknife for work. Work had arranged accommodation for us at Capital Suites. We had a lovely kitchette with two adjoining rooms. The beds were lovely with huge feather duvets. The lovely assortment of pillows allowed everyone to select the perfect one. The staff were willing to meet your every need. This made our stay in... The Explorer lost my reservation or was overbooked and as a result they moved me to the Capital Suites. It was a poor night that was going to get much worse. I entered the room and found that it was extremely hot, which is not uncommon during the winter months. I tried everything within my capabilities, and then phoned downstairs... More

Smoke & Mirrors Yellowknife Capital Suites Booked reservations with a credit card 6 weeks prior to arriving and reconfirmed 1 week prior to arrival for the 3rd or 4th renovated floor. Upon arrival, was informed that the requested reservation was not available but would be accommodated in one of the older, un-renovated rooms on the 1st floor as the 3rd... More

I moved from Yellowknife Inn Hotel to Capital Suites Hotel because of the noise and dirty rooms over there. I was given an upgraded suite on the executive floor with fully equiped kitchen suties. Very clean suite and great customer service. Hotel Manager was a great help and very caring. Definitely are coming back with our research university team. Strongly... More

Well furnished mini apartments with kitchen but with very poor noise isolation. I heard everything from adjacent room, very thin walls...Room cleaning was not done every day & cleaning was very basic. Random knocks at our door...to have cigarettes...even my room was a non smoking one. Bring some ear plugs to sleep! More

I was attracted to this hotel because of the kitchen suites. It was NOT worth it, however. I would NOTs stay here again. The housekeeping/cleaning was sloppy and inconsistent. The TV's volume didn't work and some channels had no sound at all. The building makes a lot of noises like cracking, and shifting noises. VERY THIN WALLS! You can hear... More

Please do not stay here. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. EVER. Luckily we were here just one night, because between noise in the halls, thumping from adjoining rooms, random knocks at our door at all hours of the night, we managed maybe 3-4 hours sleep. Neither me nor my husband are fussy travelers (both in... More

We had a smoking room on a "party floor" because there was nothing else available. It was covered in cigarette burns and smelled awful (perhaps to be expected in a smoking room, but was very unfortunate). The windows didn't seem to lock well, and the room was basically on the ground floor. It didn't feel very safe, and was not... More
