My husband and I enjoyed our overnight stay at Shebby's conveniently located on Main Street, downtown Antigonish. Our hostess Mary made us feel very welcome and informed us of the choice of restaurants in town. The room was spacious, and clean. The Queen bed was very comfortable. She followed up a few days later to inquire how breakfast was in... More

The Highland Heart B&B in Antigonish is a truly lovely and comfortable accommodation. Mary MacDonald is a wonderful host and very helpful. This was our first visit to Nova Scotia and Highland Heart was the perfect beginning. The city of Antigonish is easy to navigate and the location of Highland Heart is great for walking and enjoying the lively downtown... More

This was one of the best B&Bs we encountered on a recent two-week trip. Room and bath were attractive, clean and comfortable, with original art and several unexpected amenities that would have been great had we been able to stay longer (flashlight, small refrigerator, laundry hang-ups). The owner is a warm and kind person - we felt truly welcomed. Convenient... More

I would recommend staying at Shebby's B&B for a pleasant stay with all the comforts of home. The room was clean and had everything we needed to rest and relax. It is close to the restaurants, so we could park our car and walk about and enjoy our evening in this quaint community. Breakfast was delicious and served promptly. I... More

Shebby's B & B is a delightful stay on Main Street Antigonish. Shebby, the hostess, made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment she introduced herself to us. Our quaint room was clean and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Our breakfast was incredibly enjoyable - her homemade biscuits and strawberry jam cannot be beat! There is a... More

Stayed here for one night in June 2012. I was on my way to Cape Breton the next day and it was a good half-way point. The room I had was clean comfortable with a private bathroom. The decore was something I would compare to staying with Grandma. It was cozy with charming little knick-knacks here and there. Breakfast was... More

The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was deee-lish! The street noise at night was annoying but if you live in a city and are used to that, it might not bother you. Innkeeper Mary was charming.

We stayed here last year and liked it so well we returned for another 3 nights in June of this year. Excellent breakfasts, comfortable rooms, great hostess who is very knowledgeable about the area. Lovely home and a convenient starting point for visiting Cape Breton, Canso or many other parts of the province. We hope to come again another year.... More

Proprietor Mary MacDonald has thought of everything weary travelers might need or want. Her house is deceptively large and quiet. The room was clean and the linens were crisp and unscented. Breakfast was excellent - an omelet worthy of Julia Child, thick whole grain toast, fresh fruit, and a perfect pot of tea. Mary is very kind and we left... More

This was a really nice place to stay at a reasonable price. It is right in town so you can walk almost everywhere. The owner, Mary Shebby, was personable and friendly. The room was good and the bed was very firm and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Mary cooked eggs benedict for each couple as they came to the table,... More
