This family run Inn in Mabou was a great find for us. Our room (really a suite) was clean, spacious and comfortable. Bonnie and Steve were great hosts giving us all sorts of information about places to see while we were in that area. The breakfast next morning was really good and filling. It sure got us off to our... More

My husband and I booked two nights here for a weekend wedding. We know the area well and chose this spot because it was close to the wedding venue. I was so pleased with our room...lots of light from big windows overlooking the river. Yes, the bed was firm, but not hard, and everything was so comfy and clean. Dated,... More

Booked here at the last minute and was not disappointed. The location is very beautiful and in walking distance to Mabou and the popular Red Shoe Pub. Our room was very spacious, well appointed and extremely comfortable. The Inn sits on the waterfront and has a lovely deck to enjoy a drink and soak up the peaceful atmosphere if the... More

We greatly enjoyed our brief visit to Mabou and the Duncreigan Inn which is very conveniently located in the heart of Mabou on the river. The main house just finished a complete renovation so everything was clean, new, and comfortable. Our traveling companions had a room in the guest house which was also quite nice. The staff were excellent and... More

We stayed at the Duncreigan on the final night of our trip around The Cabot Trail &The CeilidhTrail. We enjoyed it so much, we stayed a 2nd night, lucky for us Steve was able to accomodate us (just barely as they were almost fully booked), he even offered to upgrade another guest so that we could keep our same room.... When I booked at the Duncreigan, I assumed from its name that it was an inn--i.e., a small hotel with services (such as a reception desk) that would be open all night. So I was a little disconcerted when I called to say that my arrival would be delayed to be told "Well, I'll leave the key on a table... More

The Duncreigan Inn does everything right. Sparkling clean facilities, friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms with excellent beds, good breakfast to start your day off right (excellent coffee, but if you enjoy tea you may want to bring your own). They are located in Mabou, in the heart of Gaelic country. Don't miss the live music and great food at... More

Set in lovely setting though room on roadside bit noisy when windows open. Loved the Euro Tilt n Turn windows. Newly renovated mainhouse, clean and modernized. Carpet in stairs and halls not particularly attractive but helps to dampen noise from other guests presumaly. Room attractively furnished and not too "twee" . Was a particularly warm and humid night so put... More

The location is very pretty and at first view the inn looks charming. Unfortunately we made a last minute decision to stay there as we were too tired to drive further. The hallways and our room smelled like an ashtray. The rooms were dated '80's with thick carpet and furniture that stank of cigarettes. All we wanted to do was... More

This B&B is great in all respects. The accommodations are excellent with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was great with freshly cooked items (eggs, pancakes, bacon/sausage). The staff was great and more than willing help in any way. We completely enjoyed everything about the 2 nights we spent there. This B&B was chosen for its location at the homeplace of... More
