I grew up in the Bras d'Or area and had always been impressed with the Burchell mansion so it was quite the experience to get to stay at the Annfield Manor for three nights during a visit to Cape Breton. Beautiful older home with impressive antiques - as it was a quieter time of year we were able to see... More

After a long ride south from Quebec City, I arrived and was greeted by Mark the owner and his lovely daughter. I stayed 2 nights and the experience was unforgettable!!! While I was one of only 2 other couples staying in the house at the time (est. has 12 rooms on 3 floors), I felt very much at home in... More

ANNFIELD MANOR We were greeted by the owner Mark, who was helpful and informative. The rooms were comfortable and well-furnished with antiques, and the old-world charm of the architecture was classic of the era when the mansion was built. Mark has built a charming full-size playhouse for his daughter in the yard, and together with the barn and its antique... More

Thank you so much for treating us so well. The room was spotless - the decor was charming and origional. The staff couldn't have been nicer and very helpful. The breakfast was great. You can rest assured that we will return and have been telling everyone about your lovely B & B Mari McCabe

We visited Annfield Manor June 30,2012 and were delighted with the accomadations, food etc. Although we were only able to stay the one night (as our ferry left for NL. the next morning, we were able to spend some time at the property and took many photos. Unfortunately we did not get to meet either Lisa or their daughter Emily,... More

Our room wasn't cleand and spiderwebs were all over. Our room didn't closed correctly and we have no water in our bathroom. We told it to Mark, the owner and want any help for the problems but he ignored the problems . After stay in 6 B&Bs it was the worst, we had on our tour.

These people cancelled the day of their booking and when I told them I would have to charge the cancellation fee they threatened to write a bad review review on tripadvisor which they did. This person's partner wrote the other bad review on the same date. It's a bogus review. Our cleaning staff does an excellent job cleaning all rooms.... More

Annfield Manor is in a great location to visit Cape Breton. It is close to the Newfoundland ferry, the Cabot trail and Louisberg. The bed and breakfast is a beautiful old manor house (1893) with a large property. Lisa prepared a wonderful, healthy breakfast for us each morning. There is a widow's walk on the top floor where you can... More

Recently my husband and I stayed at Annfield Inn in beautiful Brasdor. This has to be the best kept secret in Cape Breton .This house exudes charm and elegance as do the gardens, vines, and lawns. Owner Lisa and her daughter Emily were wonderful and we stayed in Theresa room with its wonderful clawfoot tub, lace curtains and gleaming hardwood... More

Friendly, clean, family-oriented and delicious breakfasts. We stayed over Easter and were even able to participate in an egg hunt in this beautiful home. Hope we can stay again soon.

We are not your typical B&B clients but we enjoy the Annfield and have stayed there more than once (always in the off season) in different rooms. The grounds and building are clean and period decorated with a comfy feel and relaxing environment. This is a great place to get away for a night or two and relax. The rooms... More
