I stayed at the Martin Arms, Sydney for one night. The hotel is located conveniently close to the town centre. As I was too lazy to walk I took the car which took about five minutes (and enabled me to drive to the shopping mall to buy some books). My room was a floor up from the reception facing the... More

We were looking for something close to Centre 200 that was cheap, and we found that here. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was toast, cereal, tea, & coffee (although there was 1/2 a cup of old coffee left). The thing that stands out the most in my head was the creepy little girl picture at the top... More

This place was recommended to us because it was good value for the money. The Hotel has had a lot of renovations lately and the room we had was quite nice with a large bathroom. The place was once a family home and if you look at the outside of it you can see the original grand old house with... More

The room that I had stayed in had just bin renovated . It was very comfortable and decorated beautifully through out the entire hotel. The rates were great, i had stayed two nights. The restaurant located inside the hotel was not only very convenient, but also has great food and reasonable prices. Will be recommended to family and friends.

We stayed just the one night and it was hard to work out if this hotel is on the way up or the way down. I think it's up but there is a way to go. Everything was clean enough but there is a terribly dated feel to it. The room was quite dark due to most of the window... More

We chose this hotel for the price. My expectations where very, very low. The room was clean, somewhat on the small size but we only stayed for one night. There had obviously been some renovations. The bathroom had new fixtures and tile, it looked like it still needed to be painted but it was fine. The drapes did not close which... More

We were having a difficult time finding a room in Sydney--we later found out an Elton John concert was in town the following night--our choices were a smoking room at a moderately priced chain hotel, or a room at an extremely expensive hotel. When we drove up to the Martin Arms I did not expect to stay...the advertised price on... More

My husband and I got away without the kids for a weekend and wanted to somewhere we still had money left to have fun. The location was great, very central and a beautiful park or the waterfront boardwalk were only a few minutes walk away. The room was very clean and we found the staff friendly and helpful. The restaurant... More

My family & I had stayed at the Martin Arms twice this month. Our first trip was for 3 days.... our room never got cleaned and beds weren't made up during our stay. The staff was rude as well. Our second trip was repulsive.... we were completely disrespected by staff, infront of other clients. The staff was ignorant, rude and... More

2 of my friends and I got a double non-smoking room. The Pros: -Very clean room -Bathroom was BRAND new with a lovely deep tub -The location is very central The Cons: -Our beds were rock hard -Housekeeping knocked on our door at 9 AM both Saturday and Sunday... I suppose sleeping in is not allowed? -They would not honor... More
