Stayed 2 nights during trip around Nova Scotia. Great deals to be had on the shoulder seasons. Incredibly peaceful and only a 5 minute drive away from Digby and Bear River. Convenient location to get to whale-watching tours on the Digby Neck and to Annapolis Royal. Hosts were wonderul (inclduing Rosie) and very accomomodating. The Inn itself overlooks the Bay... More

Found this Inn in minutes on the net, and booked literally ten minutes of leaving for Halifax, from where reached Digby thanks to the shuttle run by Kathleen Gidney: goingwithkathleens@gmail.com. Instinct had served me right! Was delighted by the very first sight of the Inn, a lovely building set in a beautiful garden, across the Annapolis Basin! The breakfasts were... More

Great place to stay. All the people there are so friendly and caring. The decor inside and out is lovely. The breakfast is more than adequate and delicious their are places to walk and enjoy and their little pal Rosie only adds to the feeling of friendliness and comfort. Would recommend it highly and plan to return

We arrived at night and pulled in to the driveway of this lovely, cozy-looking house; warmly lit breakfast area and glassed-in front porch were most appealing to weary travellers. Our hosts were friendly, thoughtful and interesting to talk to, knowing much about the area and giving us much-needed opinions on what it might be like to live in that part... More

We've just returned home from two nights at the Harbourview Inn. We've already recommended it to our friends and family. We stayed in the Winchester House, Suite 20 and had every comfort we would require. Upon our arrival, our host gave us discount coupons which we could use at any time during our stay if we wished to have a drink... More

We have just booked for the fifth time at Harbourview Inn. We love this place. Our hosts, Darren and Vance, are friendly and welcoming. They put a lot of passion in their work. We feel at home at Harbourview Inn. Each spring, we begin to think to go back for several days in summer, remembering the good memories of the... More

We arrived absolutely soaking wet from a whale watching cruise and before we knew it Darren had taken our soaking clothes and dried them and our shoes in his tumble drier. He and Vance are the perfect hosts and serve an amazing breakfast too. There was hot tea and coffee on tap and the room and bathroom was spotless and... More

Thank you for your kind words. We both grew up in small rural communities where the Golden Rule was very important...we try to treat guests the way that we would like to be treated. We try and make guests feel at home and welcome. More

This was our favourite inn that we stayed at on our recent trip to Nova Scotia. We stayed in the Winchester House annexe which is a lovely spacious suite with an enormous bathroom and wonderfully comfortable bed. The room was also spotlessly clean. The gorgeous main house is perfect with a welcoming atmosphere and plenty of places to relax. The... More

Rosie (our little dog) loves to welcome and entertain our guests and is more than willing to take our guests for a walk around Smiths Cove. One guest who took Rosie to our little Post Office was amazed that everyone there knew her name...one of the joys of living in a small community! Irene tries to creates a fun and... More

my wife and I stayed here for the first three nights of our Nova Scotian adventure and we both highly recommend it...the owners and the staff went out of their way to continually make sure you had everything you needed without smothering you...their breakfasts were outstanding and the homemade jam was delicious....I believe my wife purchased 6 jars of it... Darren makes all the jams at the Inn and every morning we offer two different jams that guests can sample with their breakfast. We try to make sure that our guests are aware of the best places to eat, of the best whale watching adventures to enjoy in the area, of all the different things that there are to do... More
