I stayed for quite a while on the 4th floor. The cold water in my sink didn't work, the water in the shower only worked on hot, the internet was terrible as it barely worked and the staff always offered to give me the phone number to the ISP - which doesn't make sense as I wouldn't call a plummer... 101 year old railway hotel in a central location, great views of the Waterfront. Rooms are small, but very clean. Furnishings/Bed could use an upgrade. Windows are drafty. Customer service was good. Free Parking behind hotel. Free Wireless internet, worked well. Pool/fitness area looked a bit run down so I didn't use, opted to go out for a walk along... More

Prince Arthur has been kept well over it's 100 years, and the central location in Thunder Bay makes it easy to walk to art, casino or theater venues. More

We have now stayed a the Prince Arthur twice and have received excellent customer service each time. This time, though, they went above and beyond. Particularly one employee - Carla. We were very late arriving at Thunder Bay Airport (midnight) and their shuttle was there to pick us up. Carla checked us in and was very pleasant and helpful. We... More

We had a lovely stay in the Prince Arthur Hotel. It is a very old hotel. The fitness area was not used by us as it seemed lacking. We didn't use the pool. The staff were very freindly and our room was clean. The restaurant was amazing!! The food was very good with lots of choices. Great tea biscuits at dinner.... More

I booked two nights recently to attend a training seminar being held at this location. In short, the single room was not much bigger then the bed itself, very cold draft through the old steel slider windows, noisey heater trying to keep up with the demand, bed was absolutely terrible/cheap resulting in 2 hours sleep all night (and I ain't... My husband and I got a room for a wedding that we went to at The Prince Arthur. The food was great and the staff at the dinner were very helpful and courteous. When it came to cleanliness, lets just say we found socks around the bed that did not belong to us. Maybe the cleaning staff are annoyed with... More

I couldn't find a room anywhere else so I wound here in the heart of an older downtown neighborhood. The price was quite high I thought and all they had available was a suite. I found the room to be pretty nice. It had been redone and was clean. The common areas of the hotel were not nice and were... More

Our room was great. The bedding was lovely, soft and thick. The view was amazing. The service was good; friendly, attentive and helpful. Loved the lobby. Glad such a historic hotel is still going strong. If fancy bathrooms are important to you, ask for one. Not an issue for me. Ours was basic, but perfectly clean and well maintained. No... More

Old hotel, old tired rooms, loud with banging doors in the hallway heard all night and shouting from the street below. Just because the hotel is old itself doesn't mean it can't be upgraded with things like a counter in the bathroom (only had a pedestal sink) or a newer couch etc. Really awful lighting in the room only lamps...
