my five stars are a relative rating for a two star hotel! This is a hotel/apartment place that comes as simple as it gets ( with Ikea-style furniture and equipment fom the 70s), absolutely no frills in the room, but it is clean, friendly, quiet, in a central location just adjacent to Chinatown and the fashion district, it comes with... Look, it you're used to the Hilton or The Peninsula, this place might not be for you. If you're more a traveler than a tourist, however, and appreciate good value and great location, the Grange place is a fine choice. I stayed there two nights and loved the location. Yes, it has some project-like apartments across the street, but they... More

What can you say about the Grange that isn't already said on their web site. It's not the Hilton but they really don't try to be. It's good accommodation for a reasonable price. I like the fact that it's right in Chinatown. I live The shops and restaurants there. We went to a Blue Jays game. That was easy. You... More

Good location. Staff are helpful. The rooms are relatively clean. We used the kitchenette to make breakfast every morning so that helped us save a bit of money. Just make sure you wash plates/bowls/utensils before you use them. Free WiFi. Beds were a bit too soft for my liking. Quite good value for the location. Just remember it's a no... More

Before we arrived, we had read negative responses about criminality of the surrounding area. The hotel is situated 3 minutes walk from the heart of Chinatown with restaraunts and close to Queen street with bars and clubs. It is easy to access mostly all attractions by foot. The kitchenette in the studio we lived in is clean and equipped with... More

Stayed in June 2010 for 5 nights.Would have changed locations but the city was booked up - we even were looking for other paces where we would have paid more than double. Anyhow: the bathroom and kitchenette area seemed to be clean. The carpet looked not so clean - but vacuumed, at least. The beds felt like they had spent... More
