We stayed the weekend while exploring Toronto. The hotel is in a perfect location. Plenty to do in the neighborhood and it's a very short walk to the subway. The room was very clean and pleasant and the building itself is very nice as well. To check in after hours was almost like a secret agent, getting pass codes and... More

The outside, the lobby and the hallways are very lovely, the room itself not so much. My first impression of the room size was really negative, considering I couldn't open the door completely, the door actually hit up against the side table and the loud bang freaked me out. The shower stall is very narrow, good thing I am somewhat... More

Not sure I would book here again although it was a conveniently central location with easy access to Yonge Street, public transport and The University. My room was in the basement where it was noisy and the room was as small as a university dorm room. I don't have a problem with small, as the room was well appointed, with... More

We stayed in a room facing the street and it was noisy as the tenants across the street were sitting outside making a din. A room at the back of house would be better. Rooms look better in pictures, the air con was very noisy (couldn't sleep with it on) and the walls thin. Lovely tree lined street with great... More

We had a lovely stay. The room was smallish, but very clean and comfortable and we really appreciated the fridge and dishes. Friends also had a room and we enjoyed a very pleasant evening on the second storey balcony. Beautiful front garden, terrific location. Would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed in this place for 3 weeks. Everyday there's always new bites. Report it to the manager. We checked together the mattress, but found nothing. Then one night, I found a small black speck inside one of the pilliw sheet. I thought that its just dust, but it moved. I panicked and ended up killing my only proof. However,... More

For the price, definitely worth it. If you are looking for a fancy hotel with lots of amenities, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for an inexpensive, extremely clean room with a coffee maker, a microwave, a beautiful setting and lovely people and a comfortable place to lay your head in the heart of Toronto,... The location is very good, if you don`t mind using the underground for major attractions. It`s about 1 hours walk (we didn`t mind) to major attractions, but closer for Yonge Dundas Square, which is the main nightly activity location. We found the room clean, although small compared to most hotels, and well stocked with crockery, cutlery, microwave, kettle etc for... More

Feels like I'm in an undergrad dorm room! I went with the single bed on the main floor (not the basement). With tax it was $89 through hotels.com which is not bad for Toronto. I asked to look at the basement rooms, and, after looking, I decided to stay on the ground floor--more sunny & pleasant. Staff was polite and... More

Although the location is excellent, nothing else about this place is. It is very dated and smells weird, like a mixture of bug spray and mildew. Our one bedroom studio (room 1) is in the basement with two small windows at ground level in the bedroom. Don't rent this. It is a depressingly dingy and dank domicile. It is sad... More
