I've read some of the reviews below and have to say that people have been really unfair regarding this hostel. The proprietor was an easy going, straight forward guy - not rude at all - actually very funny and easy to get along with. It’s rare to see people in the services work that hard to please guests – so... More

I dont know where to start with this place, I felt I was staying at a buddies crummy apartment rather than a cheap hotel. location is horrible, only thing within wakling distance is a gas station and a bus stop to get outta there, room and beds were disgustingly small..I'm six feet and my feet were hanging off the bed,... Good aspects: Room is clean and organized, and has a good, clean bathroom. It seemed to have been recently renewed, and had an equipped kitchen. Location is good, close to the Younge and Dundas Streets. Bad aspects: Reception hours are terrible - it`s only open a couple hours a day. Since we arrived at the hotel outside those open hours... As much as we appreciate you unreasonable comments, we feel your comments reflect more your attitude than our inability to service. We are open according to the call of our mode of operation. Becasue of our size and needs of our customer, we operate during the hours that suit 99% of our guest. We do not take any walk in... More

Firstly, I have never cared so much about a place to write a negative review, but the poor service at the Saint Lawrence Residences & Suites drove me to it. Its fair to say I don't have high standards, me and my friends travelled around Ontario for a week staying in a variety of budget motels and hostels. We didn't... More

Thank you for writing a review. It looks like you are not the same person who booked the room. Its kind of hard to make the heads out of tails of your story. I can imagine when you are just entering the adulthood, you like to see the whole world run around you; but the reality is, if you stop... More

After a nightmare in a hostel in Chinatown, it was our only alternative. Much better than the previous one, but not worth the money you have to pay. The office was mainly empty, we run out of Toilet paper and the entrance door was very very annoying (peeping all the time). More

It was nice to have you stay with us. Yes, we agree with you it was too expensive for you, but you found out, when you went to cheaper place. We operate under free enterprise system. No business can survive when they over price and for that matter under price. Our office hours are limited, and we do adjust them... More

Best quality/price place in Toronto, if you don't mind to share bathroom. Really centric, less than 5 min walking to the city hall and all touristic places in Toronto. Rooms, bathrooms and shared places very clean. Free Internet. Room with TV, fridge, microwaves and air conditioning. Hotel management very kind and polite. I had a problem with the wireless connection... More

Thanks for you review. It would have been nice, if you could be specific, as to the hidden charges. We definitely try to inform in advance, what the charges are going to be. Please point it to us, so that we can correct it for next guest. Unfortunately, we have no control on people who walk on the street/s, like... More

This place is not the hotel but a hostel. If you take up with that you ok. There was missing button on air conditioning in my room but I had no chance tell it to the manager - he never appeared in the office. The blanket was quite ugly but fortunately bed sheet was enough because night was hot. Carefully... More

Thanks for your comments. In a way you are half right. We are Hostel as well as Hotel, and you as a customer decide what you want. We make a no secret of our limited hours, inspite of all our efforts, if a guest arrives late at night without informing us, we still do our best to provide them a... More

A good place for people just arriving to toronto with no clue of what to do with themselvees; very centric place minutes away from anywhere by walking and seconds away from the streetcar/TTC (Toronto Transport Comission). the common area is hardly used by some sociological, personal reason, but you are free to use it to you desire and it's very... Appreciate you comments. Being a small property, we tend to fulfill many needs, like short term for guests like you, long term for students in nearby universities and colleges. Hostel, when price is the major motive, and Hotel with Suites; when you don't mind spending a little extra. Drop in and stay with us, if your needs brings you to... More
