I wasn't sure about this one based on previous reviews, but the charming exterior in the photo won me over and I gave it a chance. I was totally pleased with the staff and the room. Spoke with several of the staff at various times with questions and asking directions and they were very friendly and helpful. The room was... More

Terrible, run down old house that should be condemned. Long red bugs all over the room, unfinished and mouldy walls, electrical problems where you can't plug in two things at once, a TV and phone from 1972, no possibility of internet, three floor of old stairs, fire escape door open all the time....We really felt unsafe and were forced to... We did arrive in Montreal without a place and then looked through a search engine for a relative cheaper place (EUR 80), still centrally located. the hotel comes accross rather old and a bit run down. its located at a main street, but our room was on the side and we looked toward parking. the room was very small and... The guy that checked us in was awesome!!!!! Aside from that, it's a great place for what it is. It's across the street from the bell center and a 5 minutes from down town. It's a great place to crash, and it's really cheap, which is perfect for a few broke college students. More

If you're at a conference in one of the big hotels (Sheraton etc), or looking for budget hotel then this is a great alternative that is very cheap in comparison and ticks all the boxes. Good location. You'll want to eat and drink out anyway as there are some great local places (rather than the expensive, characterless large international chains).... More

STAY AWAY! They have bedbugs and eventhough the cleaning lady found a living bedbug and we didn't have to pay for our room, they don't want to admit it afterwards. We got bitten all over and now our house is infected and we need to have the pest control to spray the whole building! Wish I never booked a room... More

Staying at this hotel, even for just a moment (as we checked out and took the loss almost as quickly as we checked in), has left me with an all time low in regards to the service industry. A list will do just fine. 1) The woman at the front desk was awful. Rude and unwilling to accommodate. And the... More

Reading the other reviews, I can't figure out what people are expecting for accommodations 1/2 the price of other hotels in the downtown Montreal area. Our room was small although charming and clean, with A/C and TV that worked fine. It is steps from the metro, on the edge of downtown in a quiet but safe area. It was a... More

It is definitely cheap and located in a great area. Just steps from the Bell Centre, many bars and night clubs, shopping, and restaurants....BUT, It isn't the most comfortable of places. My husband and I recently went up for the UFC and managed the get in a hockey game. We love Montreal and usually stay with friends, but they hand... More

The first thing I noticed when I walked into the hotel was that there is no type of security at the front door. I looked closer in the elevator and I'm a little skimpy with my french but I believe that the elevator inspection was due one month ago Thirdly i walk into the room and I hit a wall... More
