As an elite member I was quickly checked in & given a room with a great view. The hotel itself is beautiful & in a great location for shopping, restaurants, etc. Friendly bilingual staff that are willing to give great restaurant suggestions. I would definitely stay there again! More

Spent 5 nights in Montreal for a meeting and chose the Marriott Chateau Champlain for its location, really enjoyed my stay and will plan on staying there again next time in Montreal. Pros: Friendly staff, good restaurant, great view if you get a room overlooking the park, next to the train station, huge underground mall, easy walk to many restaurants.... More

This is a nice hotel in a very convenient location. The Bonaventure Metro is directly below the hotel. I can't say a lot about the hotel other than: 1. parking is expensive! I believe it's $22/day with no in/out privileges so each time you drive out, you pay another $22 to park unless you pay $30/day for valet service. The... More

Stayed at The Marriott Chateau Champlain in downtown Montreal back in November 2011. Great downtown property that exceeded expectations. Rooms were spacious with excellent half-moon windows that provide nice views of the city. The staff was super helpful, and a standout was Senior Bellman (Ronnie) who has been at the property for decades - great guy and real character -... More

What can I say? Although this is the classic Montreal hotel, it is a Marriott; so I came in with Marriott expectations and it was just an OK stay. I heard there were recently renovations- for the life of me I don't know why they wouldn't remove the "cottage cheese" ceilings...so 1980s. The ceilings are also very low, so I... More

Stayed here for a few days in May, a great experience. The hotel is in great shape, location is excellent. The reason that we would return is they have really excellent staff, from the moment you stop at the front door, they are friendly, helpful and most of all they seem happy. Had an issue with my internet and they... More

It's a comfortable hotel with very cool half-moon windows.. It could probably use a renovation one of these years, but I was well taken care of. The breakfast was completely adequate with a selection of healthy stuff and traditional fare. The location was very good--between Old Montreal and Downtown. I will say that I heard the elevator going past my... More

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. It's not very convenient to "Vieux Montreal" (the old city) by foot, but with a Metro stop nearby, it's do-able. The hotel bar had duck confit spring rolls on the menu (!!) during happy hour. They were excellent. Being in a "French" city, anything less than great food would have been a... More

Found this a very comfortable hotel for a few nights in Montreal. The rooms are a good size and have nice European styling, albeit they are a little pokey around the bathroom/cupboard area. Very friendly and helpful service. Convenient location for a number of reasons and nice to have the green space fronting the hotel. More

I stayed 7 nights. As a Platinum Elite member (meaning I stay at Marriotts more than 75 days every year) , I had asked for a high floor with a king sized bed. I had booked about 1 month ahead and confirmed by credit card. Upon arrival, a cheerful and chatty check-in staff attended to me but....I was given a... More
