I loved the location and the building. Can't ask for anything better than a block from the metro and St. Catherine's street. Beautiful old building with great woodwork and a stained glass window. The rooms were also very nice. However, the building needed some housekeeping work. The hallways weren't super clean, the kitchen was a mess, and the showers were... More

Only a block away from Crescent Street and St Catherine's, the location of this hostel was perfect if you're the party going or shopping type. For you travellers, it was only a couple blocks away from the bus and Metro stations that take you right to the airport or Central Station. When you walk into the building, you instantly notice... - awesome staff: friendly, flexible, supportive - 20-30$ downtown montreal - incl. breakfast -> awesome deal! - owner/managing director is incredibly well-hearted: if he can help you, he will be all means - good opportunity to meet a lot of interesting people from all over the world

I've stayed at a few hostels in my years traveling and this is by far one of the best hostels I've been to! The staff are really friendly, especially Thomas and Benjamin (awesome French brothers who even had a few cigarettes with us!). The beds are very soft and the rooms are very clean. The showers are a little small... More

Nice rooms, super location with shopping, restaurants and bars super close! 8-10 min walk to metro. Hostel was very clean, but you need flipflops in the shower! The shower floor was very dirty.. Except from that it was a very nice hostel and breakfast was OK too. I really recommend this place, perfect for a short stay with friends!

I was surprised by how nice this hostel looked both inside and outside. Staff was nice and showed us where the basics were. The rooms are a bit packed though. Given the location and price, it was great value. However they could not put all four of us in the same room, with one bed allocated in another room, which... More

What should I praise first?! As a couchsurfer/budget traveler, my expectations aren't high when looking for a place to sleep at night. This place went beyond what I thought I was getting for the low price that I paid. The bunk beds are surprisingly soft and spacious for single mattresses and you aren't cramped in a 10-bed dorm at all.... More

2 blocks away from subway (Guy-Concordia), in a vibrant neighborhood and surrounded by bike rental stations (Bixi) - a lot to do in the area and very easy to get around. I loved the breakfast - there were a lot of choices (breads, croissants, cheese, some sort of cold cut, yogurt, muffins, oranges, juices, coffee...) which is a great way... More

Brilliant hostel, management good and very helpful. The location was excellent, very central, everything you wanna see in montreal is within 20-25mins walking distance. Beds are very clean and comfortable with newly furbished bathrooms and bedrooms. There are great restaurants, pubs and clubs nearby. The staff really made our trip enjoyable. Will be going back again in a few months.

The hostel was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The location was also amazing! Right in the heart of the city. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Best hostel I have ever stayed in.
