My friends and I arrived at Ksar El Khorbat with no reservations. We asked to see the rooms available and were guided through the gite, which is very authentic. The rooms were huge and Hmad, the owner, offered us a very fair price for rooms with half board

El Khorbat is an ancient Ksar, a fortified village, built of soil in the middle of the 19th century and recently restored, thanks to international cooperation. It is located 50 km east from Tinghir (or Tinerhir), in the low valley of Todra, South Morocco. About half of the houses of El Khorbat are still inhabited. Others have been rehabilitated with different functions, as a guesthouse, a museum or a handcraft workshop for women.
