The hotel is in the middle of a national park which is truly amazing. when we arrived at the hotel we where left standing in reception for 10 minutes waiting for someone to come to the front desk. there where only 3 staff working but there where only 8 guests so i guess that's why. Very impressive location, above the village of Las Mestas, at the entrance to the famously remote Las Hurdes area. Be aware that the area itself is isolated, and there isn't much in the village. For dinner, you are more or less restricted to the hotel restaurant , but thankfully this is excellent - a fixed-price four course dinner for 18...
