We travelled in a large group from UK, US and South Africa (aged 30-40) and hired various houses including the fantastic House 3 on the beach front. We found Railay Beach suitable for singles, couples and the families which small children in our group. Caroline and the other staff are very efficient and helpful. We used the swimming pool at... My family and I spent 3 nights in one of the houses near to the beach and we had a wonderful time. RBC is certainly not your typical resort, it houses are styled traditionally, lotsa wood, simple but tasteful decoration, and (at least for my house), modern shower and toilet facilities. This is NOT your LUXURY accomodation: no jacuzzis, no... More

We stayed at RBC in house #10 during late March. The good: - house was as expected and the web site represents the houses accurately - houses well-maintained and cleaned every day - on the beach - staff very helpful, had good recommendations for outings - amazing sunsets and happy hour - reasonable prices on sundries, wine, beer, cocktails -... We stayed at RBC baan 10 Marcia. It is one of the smaller ones and suited our family well. it was beautifully decorated and very well presented and cleaned throughout our stay. Railay West is lovely, but Railay East was a striking contrast - dirty, smelly and seedy. Staying at RBC you avoid the busier end of Railay west which... More

Booked this place on-line, learning we were renting private home in this resort of about 28 typical Thai houses. The place is lovely and private with lovely flowers throughout. The house was just glorious and private, with an outdoor shower to die for and monkeys running through the trees in the am. Close to the beach and in fact, every... More

My daughter and I stayed at Railei Beach Club the end of October 2012. Right from the booking through to the end of our 7 nights i found Railei Beach Club to be very professional and helpful. We booked the airport transfer and requested to stop and do some food shopping on the way, both of which i would recommend.... More

My husband and I stayed for 7 nights at the Railei Beach Club for a portion of our honeymoon and it was amazing. We went during the rainy season (June 2012) and while it rained, it was a welcome break from the heat and allowed us to just lie around and read in a perfect setting. It was practically deserted... Stayed here for 5 nights, and enjoyed every minute of it. It is useful to know things before you get there as it makes things much easier. It is possible to book a transfer which takes away any hassle and be prepared to get your feet wet getting in and out of the long tailed boat. The accommodation is self... More

Great value for accommodation on the beach at Railay. Rooms are rustic but comfortable. No air-con in the room I was staying in but there were fans and it didn't feel uncomfortable at night. If friends are staying at other resorts on Railay e.g. Rayavadee, it's only a few hundred metres down the beach. A large variety of bungalows spread... More

Wonderful, unique location. Few metres away from the beach (unless you get a beachfront villa which looked amazing), lots of restaurants and bars nearby within walking distance. Traditional styled houses, some with outdoor showers but all with lots of charm, privacy and beauty. There is a bar on the premises which is quiet laid back and cool but with very... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Railei Beach Club is a community of privately owned homes which may be rented when the owners are not in residence. Each house shares traditional Thai design elements but has its own characteristics. Our homes are completely open to the surrounding natural elements and all rooms have fans. Each house has a kitchen with either a refrigerator or ice-cooler, open deck space, gardens, and beautiful views. There are two rooms available to rent in the Club House area and 21 houses, ranging from one to four bedrooms, sleeping two to eight people. Some houses have private guest wings, without cooking facilities, which are also available to rent. All of the houses have open-air fan rooms, and only 4 properties have air-con in the bedrooms. There is a strict maximum occupancy of eight people per house, and a requested three night minimum stay. During the Peak Season (December and January) we request a 7-night minimum stay. Year round, we enforce a quiet time after 11pm. We ask our guests to respectfully observe this request by no loud music or voices after this time. Please come enjoy, relax and experience the natural beauty and wildlife here at Railei Beach Club. ... more   less
