For the second time I've been to this hotel, I found the same good standards from clean room, relaxing bed in this nice and simple hotel, the view of the Nile is great as they have the cafeteria and main seating area by the Nile, the only negative point is the cafeteria's desserts, as I did not find it the best.

I arrived without a reservation, so ended up in a room at the back of the hotel, rather than one facing the Nile. Unfortunately the rear of the hotel is next to a private members' club with outside play equipment and it was a bit noisy. There's a mosque next door too. Otherwise, the area is quiet and residential. There are a few corner shops and a cafe near-by. The train station is about 40 minutes walk away. The room was very spacious and the air conditioning worked well. The TV was a bit old but otherwise fine. The bathroom was large and had a bath tub. The shower was fine and there's an individual hot water heater in the bathroom. I didn't eat in the restaurant, but did order a chicken sandwich one evening, which was delivered to the room and cost 35 LE. The outside terrace is lovely with great views of the Nile. Both check-in and check-out were fine and the room was pretty clean.…

This is an excellent hotel, I was expecting an average service in such a small city like Qena, but I was surprised with the level of service in this hotel, while taking into account that it is a three stars hotel, room are really comfortable with a very large bathroom, view is the best there, breakfast is great and prices are very reasonable.

Nice hotel regarding the surroundings. Basic and clean. Great view of the Nile. Nice outdoor cafe. There is a problem with TV remotes. Not the type of place if you are looking for luxury, but there are no luxurious hotels in Qena. So this is as good as it gets.

Basma hotel is the real smile at the face of Upper Egypt. Warm hospitality and comfortable accommodation with the most wonderful view to the western bank of the greatest Nile River. The set of the sun is realy amazing

The hotel is not so good. The Internet not works, never in 2 weeks. The furniture is very old. Very poor condition. In the back yard there is a place near the river where you can eat, this is only one good thing.
