If you're on a budget, this is a great place to visit. The room was basically average but putting that aside, there's actually numerous attractions to visit. I had a wonderful time when it comes to the night cruise + eco park (nocturnal tour). We even had the chance to witness the staffs feeding chicken to crocodiles and python. The... More

I remember went to this hotel about 10 years ago. It nice and the room was neat and clean. But when i went there again last week, the hotel look old, so as in the room. The floor in the room was too cold and there was no bedroom slippers in the room. Maybe they should consider to renovate the... More

We had a room on the lake, in the Kampung Air (Water Chalets) and the view was nice! The food leaves much to be desired, just not enough variety, and well...okay, but not great. There is a great water park there, and the trip to the Orangutan Sanctuary was very nice. The people are friendly, but the internet works only... More

We didn't stay at the Resort Hotel, but the Suria Apartment instead, which meant that we had to take a short 5min drive to the Resort for the theme park & attractions. The Bukit Merah Resort consists of three main attractions: the Waterpark, the ECO Park and the OrangUtan Island. There are several other attractions and activities available on the... More

Today Bukit Merah Laketown Resort is TERRIBLE! So different from what it was about eight years ago when it was classy and full of tourists, and we didnt mind making the hour long drive from Penang. This trip, my friends and I were actually digusted with the condition of this hill resort - the whole place is run down and... More

Pre-booked the Laketown hotel room for 3d 2n under the "Jom Cuti" package which included tickets to the Ecopark, waterpark and orang utan island for 3 adults. Room wasn't 5-star but was clean. Had a queen size bed and an additional single bed (with another pull-out bed under it) so it was just nice for my wife, maid, 2 toddlers... More

Even though I think the water chalets would be much better than the normal rooms it is not worth the RM 480 we paid for 1 night. Breakfast is no good. For kids there are a lot of things to do so they will have fun. Orangutan island is in a bad shape. Overall not worth staying there but if... More

I swear to never ever again visit bukit merah waterpark or any other thing at bukit merah laketown resort. It took one hour just to get the tickets to enter the waterpark because only one personnel manned the counter despite they know the fact that it was peak season (school holiday +christmas holiday). No person to guide where to park..and... More
