I stayed here for my wedding weekend with my whole family, the managers were so lovely and helpful they really made it a special weekend, rooms are gorgeous each has it's own theme and the food is delicious! The staff couldn't do enough for us all, even given the hungover groom a lift to his car the following morning :-)... More

We have been to the Grove Ferry Inn for years, decided to go their on Saturday 26th May to have lunch in the lovely surroundings by the river. Found a table easily enough (which was surprising), the only food that was on offer was the BBQ (4/5 choices e.g burger, cheeseburger, chicken burger all for £6.00 which we thought was expensive)... Stayed here with a friend in May 2012. We were welcomed very warmly and given the choice of two rooms - both family rooms with a double and single bed. We chose room 3 - overlooking the terrace and river. It was very bright and comfortable - with 2 comfortable chairs to gaze out of the widnow, and a bathroom... More

We have been visiting the Grove Ferry for a few years now and have had some memorably bad experiences but finally this year, thanks to the "Yummy" team who have now taken over, this fantastic old building has finally got the TLC it deserves. We stayed over the week-end of the 28th April, which was one of the wettest this... More

Lynn and Michael Thanks for your fab comments. The Inn is certainly looking amazing and we are so proud of what the team are doing under the fab leadership of Aron. There is plenty more changes coming, we are fortunate to be a boutique pub company and as such we can have fun and do things the big boys could... More

We stayed over on the 21st April, a very special occasion for us and all our friends who came to enjoy it with us. What can we say - well we put a lot of demands on all the staff and the venue and what they delivered was just fantastic. Everyone had a great night, the food was so much... More

lovely staff, BUT on the morning of our leaving we were woken up at 8am with sawing, drilling, directley under our bed, so loud we could not hear each other when we spoke!!!!! family room for 3 but only 1 cup for tea/coffee, at breakfast we walked through a very dusty entrance to breakfast, after dusting ourselves off we ordered... initial reaction was good; great location, handsome building. Rooms nice enough but with odd decor. Had to wait to check in with bar staff who seemed stretched as only 2 on duty on a saturday afternoon. Evening meal disappointing; 3 out of 4 of our first choice meals not available as was the bottle of wine. One pizza served raw... More

I've stayed here twice now and love the place! It's homely without being stuffy, contemporary without being pretentious and it's got a really welcoming feel about it. The staff were just brilliant - nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure your stay was a special occasion. You can sit out on the... More

The location is lovely, the staff are super friendly and the breakfast filling and excellent quality. We were staying in the area searching for wedding venues and nothing was too much trouble for Jess, the assistant manager - she even lent us her I Pad to search on! Lovely local ales, roaring log fires and a huge contemporary and comfortable... More
