I've stayed a couple of times at Manana. It's now under new management, and good things seem to be happening :) Simon and Karen are very helpful and keen to please. The food has improved since the last time I stayed, and the curries are excellent. There's a jellyfish net up, which has reduced the possibility of being stung, so... More

Dear nyenyedzi, Thank you so much for coming to stay at Mañana, not just once, but twice :-) Thanks also for taking the time to write this review, it means a lot to us all to know when we're getting things right. Simon and Karren are very experienced beach managers, with years of experience in Perhentian Islands, so as friends... More

there aren't many budget beach breaks around KK - Manana is one of them and they do it really well. The beach is pristine and the water is clean. We stayed in a villa room and it had the most comfortable hammocks i have ever experienced. The room was really comfortable with a really cool bathroom. The food was good... More

We were picked up at the airport and had a transfer by boat to the resort, fine you may think, the only problem was the boat was a very small inflatable dinghy which we had to wade out to lucky we travel light just 1 backpack and a day sack also we were wearing crocs so not a problem the boat... We visited Mañana in May 2012 for a 2 night stay that turned into 4 nights! We call Yan to organise bookings/pick up and was very impressed by his attitude. He ensured that we knew what to expect from Mañana, that it is not a 5* luxury resort but instead an isolated beach with basic accommodation. On arrival, via a... More

We were a family of four, spending 3 nights in total there. Place was the most expensive on the island of Borneo so far except for the food. For me the main problem were the jellyfishs as my children couldn't go for a swim and there is nothing else to do than swimming. In fact you can not even leave... More

We booked Manana Borneo Resort for few days to stay, but decide to leave early.the Bungalow is overpriced and the stone-line in the rooms are looking nice, but is a bit dangerous if you need the bathroom overnight.low running water for shower or toilet just running from evening time on.so no chance to get refreshed over the days when is hot.the beach... The place is gorgeous, though very basic. We came with two small children and all they wanted to do was to go in the water, but there were lots of very dangerous jelly fish! We decided to move after only one night. Would come back when the water is safe though!

Dear Mia E, Many thanks for choosing to stay at Manana, and for taking the time to review our place. We are so sorry that the sea was not as hospitable as it should be. I stayed at Manana for four nights and had an amazing time! The accommodation is basic, but that's part of the charm. There is nothing here but a few chalets and villas right on the beach, allowing you to completely relax in nature. I spent my time kayaking, doing yoga classes, island hopping, snorkeling, swimming and reading in my hammock.... More

I think this is a great place to stay but can understand that most people only stay for 2-3 days maximum which is about right. The choice of food can be a little tedious if you are there for longer. We stayed in a villa which has wonderful views (how could you not like blue skies and white sands when... More

Dear Jules, Thanks so much for visiting Manana Borneo, and for taking the time to review our place - we appreciate all feedback.
