This hotel caters for the young crowd (20 to 30). It has a bar that plays music until 10 to 11 PM every night (expect for Sundays when it is forbidden to sell alcohol in Ecuador). I spend 4 nights here in a large room with a king size bed and two single beds with a view to the ocean.... More

Caleta Iguana, my favorite spot to stay in the Galapagos! The people who run the hostel are incredible hospitality. The day begins with a delicious full breakfast. Then, there is the possibility of snorkeling, surfing, biking, walking the many trails in the National Park, where it is easy to see several turtles and many iguanas. For beachbumps, Isabela beaches are... More

Being on a budget in the Galapagos, I was very wary of my expectations. But whilst being underwhelmed by the surroundings is highly unlikely, my stay at caleta iguana made my visit that bit more special. With a range of rooms from dorms to a double with a sea-view private balcony, it caters for almost everyone. The rooms are clean... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I stayed for 4 nights in a beautiful setting, right on the beach amongst a marine iguana colony. Emilie the manager is friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable. Her customer service is exceptional and she made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in the door. The hostel provides information about tours, ferries and local... More

This is my first bad review on trip advisor :( i really wanted to give this place a great review but due to certain circumstances I left with a sour taste in my mouth. My husband and I in our mid 20's booked the backpacker double, although very bare it was clean and so was the shared bathroom in the... More

Hi Daniel, I am very, very, very chocked to see your review, especially after everything I did for you. When you got to Isabela, you were staying in an other Hotel because we were full. You came here, saw the room, hang out at the bar (so you knew about it) decided to book for 4 nights. Then you moved... More

I don't think even a $300 night hotel stay would be better than Caleta Iguana. Great location right on the sand with the only mangrove trees providing shade on the entire stretch of beach. There are plenty of hammocks to choose from, a happy "happy hour", sun bathing marine iguanas, volleyball court, inclusive breakfast, friendly proprietor, baggage storage, shower in... More

The best things about Caleta Iguana are definitely the location and the views - right at the end of the beach with hardly anyone around. It was really peaceful when we stayed there in April which was nice and relaxing. Having said that, the bar was only open one of the nights we were there which was a bit of... More

Strange title, but I really feel like this place is the result of Emile's passion and creativity. Free breakfast, help with tours and rentals, and directions around town. Emile was great, very hospitable and knowledgeable. Also, Caleta Iguana js the quintessential beach house, complete with marine iguanas and wonderful open air rooms. No need for air conditioning here. Unfortunately, my... More

This place was awesome. The rooms were lovely, not what I thought I was going to get for the price. Emile was the best host I've ever had, so helpful. Helped us book tours and gave us great advice. There's a bar which is a great place to meet people. The view in itself was stunning. Being the last house... More

I stayed at Casa Rosada for three nights while on Isabella. Isabella is a lot smaller than Santa Cruz and I was expecting the hotels to be worse than Santa Cruz....and I was wrong. Casa Rosada was better than any hotel I stayed in on Santa Cruz and cheaper! The hotel was clean, the rooms were comfy and the staff... More

In the reception area we can book your tours, inform you about the island´s history and its activities, rent beach games, parasol´s (sunshades), surfboards, boogie boards, bikes, and more. Outside, towards the beach we have a terrace with a Grill and BBQ area with tables, chairs, hammocks in the mangrove trees and the ocean just a few feet away! You will be able to observe hundreds of Marine Iguanas that chose Caleta Iguana as their refuge. You will see many guides with groups taking pictures of all the iguanas we have living here, including “Tyson” one of the biggest and oldest around… On the second floor you will find a huge sun-deck with hammocks and reclining chairs. From here you can enjoy some of the best views of long white sand beach and unforgettable sunsets.
