Whangaroa is a tiny village but hosts some of the best fishing locations imaginable. The Lodge Motel is located in a elevated position above the two main commercial operations in the village , the Hotel & the Game fishing Club & fabulous marina. It is a 2 to 3 minutes walk to everything & has magnificent views out over the... More

Stayed here along with other family members and I must say it is a great little motel. Excellent facilities and services. Very friendly hosts from the time I made a booking until we left. Superb room with great views, seeing the Orcas a bonus! Thankyou for a wonderful stay

One of the best motels we have stayed in. Fabulous views, immaculately clean, comfortable beds with good linen and very recently tastefully updated. Really a 5 star stay. There are plenty of things to do in the area - a great place to stay for a week or just overnight.

Highly recommend this for the absolutely awesome views. Really warm Kiwi welcome, nothing too much trouble. Appartments spacious, very clean and all the amenities you need. See pictures taken around the apartments. Would definitely go back and recommend to anyone.

Superb overnighter in Whangaroa, off the beaten track but a jewel in the crown. Tranquil (off season) comfortable and great value for money. The view from the room across the bay was simply paradise. For rest and relaxation this place came tops from the 15+ hotels/B&Bs we visited during our three week tour of the North Island. Deffo recommende -... More

Our stay was only brief (1 night) but was very comfortable. The rooms have been very tastefully renovated and upgraded - were clean and warm. And the views from the deck were outstanding! We loved our stay here and would definately recommend to others. We plan to return another time. We also recommend Lukes Cafe in Whangaroa - wonderful fish... More

I have been up north before and stayed in the lodge motel but it has changed hands and been updated and is very stylish. I can recommend this as a very comfortable place to stay.
