Recommended to us by a staff member at local distillery, this farmhouse B&B is an amazing jewel in the countryside very near to Inverness. The B&B is a new addition to a picturesque farmhouse overlooking the bridge and inlet. The rooms are spacious, clean and some offer amazing views of the waterway and mountains. The Cubolkie Inn just up the... More

Absolutely heavenly place- home from home for us. Great rooms, filled with special furniture and just so beautifully and simply decked out. Super breakfasts. I'll definitely be back, just a matter of time and opportunity!

I made the most tentative of online enquiries, thinking I was well out of season, but got a fast and welcoming response from Romay. I stayed for a couple of weeks, watching the wonderful view change from autumn to winter in the greatest of comfort, in one of the cosy ensuite rooms. I was conveniently located, with the airport less... More

Upon arrival, you are immediately taken aback by the wonderful views across the Cromarty Firth, which views we could also enjoy from our bedroom and even bathroom. The location is also great to explore what the Scottish Highlands have to offer. Breakfast was good and Romay went out of her way to entertain our requests. Bedroom and bathroom were both... More

We arrived at Netherton farm and was immediately taken aback by the stunning views. There was an excellent bike storage shed which we kept our bikes overnight. The host was very friendly and provided everything we required. Rooms and beds were great & breakfast was great. Very easy access to the A9 for those interested in continuning there last leg... More

From welcoming us on arrival to waving us goodbye, Romay was an excellent host. There when needed but not intrusive. The whole ambience of this place is laid back and relaxing. the house is quirky and homely in the best possible way and the bedrooms spotlessly clean and comfortable. The view from our bedroom windows was fantastic. I usually have... More

The view from the front windows are stunning, and the Black Isle is a gem. Romay made us very comfortable with our family of three in one room. I highly recommend this for its location and attractions (we spend the afternoon watching dolphins) and had a lovely dinner at the nearby Inn.

This was our second visit to Notherton and will not, I hope, be our last. Romay Garcia is an intelligent and unusual host who runs her B&B in a laid-back and rather Bohemian style, but very much for the benefit of her guests. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and she "goes the extra mile" in so many ways... More

Romay has achieved a totally authentic approach to what she does, providing a really comfortable and welcoming retreat, which was just the ticket for us. I had the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time – which is saying something, considering my room mate's reputation for snoring! We would all have loved to stay longer, but we've now... More
