We arrived wet, windswept and frozen, and were met with a very warm welcome from Jenny as we dripped in her hallway. We had a great stay at the gatehouse in March 2012, our dogs were made very welcome. Very clean and comfortable home from home. We stayed in The Gatehouse for a weekend break away and were not disappointed. The cottage itself is extremely clean and comfortable and Jenny makes you feel really welcome. The Gatehouse is set in amazing countryside with beautiful walks right on your doorstep. We will definitely be back!!!!

We've stayed here twice and going back for a third visit. Agree with everything stated above. For a self catering experience there is everything you possibly need. We had a brilliant night staying the in B&B at Alnham. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming, and the accommodation is luxurious. I wish my house was as smart as Alnham! We were made most welcome at this peaceful location. The room was excellent as were the breakfasts. Nothing was too much trouble. The farm is ideal in that we could walk on the Cheviots without needing the car, and also within easy reach of the coast and most places of interest.

We wanted to see Northumberland, it's coast and Hills. This is an ideal location and we were made very welcome and the standard of accommodation, service and breakfast was spot on.No more needs to be said!
